With things like Facebook, Reddit and other sites with (often multiple) forums dedicated to firearms, strictly local dedicated sites like MNGunTalk are kind of old-school.
Incidentally, recently they were in the news in Columbus OH, when ATF director Steve Dettelbach had this to say: “Those weapons are as Congress said unusually dangerous. They're for the military and the government. The Founding Fathers would be rolling in their graves to hear that the modern viewpoi...
Someone asked on another board and I realized I don't know the answer: does the gangsta's favorite toy simply cause a magazine dump malfunction i.e. once it starts firing it doesn't stop until the ammo is gone? Or does it confer controlled automatic fire i.e. it stops if you let go of the trigger?
I think the scofflaw/civil disobedience route is the way to go. Let's see every person they try to prosecute for a SBR violation demand a full jury trial; that'll really jam the system. The gun banners seem to think that all they have to do is pass laws and bingo instant compliance (other than a few refuseniks they think ought to be in prison anyway). They don't seem to have heard of Prohibition or the Civil Disobedience era of the 1960s. God Bless, Americans have a long and hallow...
I signed GOA's latest petition, this one urging Congress to override the BATFE's bump stock ruling. I wanted to mention that I always add a preamble to such petitions: "I endorse the following petition drafted by Gun Owners of America -MyName, MyVotingDistrict". I do this in the hopes that...
As far as I can tell you're fine if you simply take the brace off.
And it may take a few years winding its way through the courts but I'm pretty sure this will eventually be struck down as unconstitutional on one or more grounds.
