Re: DA/SA vs. DAO for Conceal Guns

Pat Cannon wrote:I've gone with strictly DAO revolvers myself, because they're the most idiot-resistant setup there is, and I've noticed that if I'm flustered I can become pretty darn dumb.

Re: Why is calling it CCW bad?

OK, my card says "Permit to Carry a Pistol". So for me, that translates to a PCP. The next time I get pulled over for speeding, I'll roll down the window and tell the cop "My PCP is in my left rear pocket, and I have a gun on my right hip". Should go well, don't you think?? :shoc...

Re: County Commissioner Carjacked with Shotgun in his driveway

Saw this last night on the news- Isn't it interesting that they have no leads, but neither the TV (ch 5, I think) or the paper gave a description of the BG's? You'd think that might be helpful if they'd actually like some leads. Why do you think Opat may have wanted the descriptions left out? Also, ...

Re: Ron Paul wins GOP debate last night

It is bad to carry even a good thing too far. Even concerning things such as religion, life, and moral lessons, talking too much will bring harm. - Yamamoto Tsunetomo . "The reverse side also has a reverse side." That's why I always try to be more accurate- for example, instead of saying:...

Re: Ron Paul wins GOP debate last night

Does he really think that would prevent the Jihadists from still wanting to kill us? He seems to actually think so, from his comment in the debate about the reason we were attacked on 9/11 is because we had troops in Saudi Arabia. Umm, don't think that was the only (or real) reason. Listen to OBL's...

Re: Ron Paul wins GOP debate last night

Disclaimer: I am not saying I agree or disagree with the following :) My understanding is that Ron Paul is vehemently opposed to nation building, but not necessarily against responding to threats. I believe it was the first debate where he stated that if we need to go to war then we should (the fol...

Re: Ron Paul wins GOP debate last night

Ahh, you Ron Paul doubters probably didn't think Jesse'd win either. :) I'm not saying anything about his chances, it's way too early for any of that. Most of what I think I know about him is good. But the most prominent view of his that I latched on to from the debate was to get the troops out of ...

Re: Gun-rights advocates stage protest at Norfolk council meetin

I see your point, but I'm betting with the turnout and the "heat", that town won't be pulling a stunt like that on a permit holder again, and it should also give pause to any other town in the state comtemplating similar unlawful actions.
