Re: Monday's public safety workgroup

Ban semi auto rifles, high capacity mags and anything 50 BMG or larger from what I have read. Just a show. Anything they try to ban will be rules unconstitutional by Supreme Court

Re: Good place to have barrel chopped

Hoping to find someone local. Sioux falls is to far for me. I have not contacted them about cutting a barrel but they do threading from what I have read.

Re: Pistol Carbines

Recently sent my 9mm S&W folder down the road. To many disappointments with it. Replaced with the Ruger LC 45 carbine. Sort of a chunky girl at 7 pounds. Shot it in a match last Saturday, brain farts push my numbers up and placement down. First time using a vertical for grip in competition. So ...

Re: Anyone reloading 1:11.25 twist in 308

Got to the range today. The 200 gr ELD-X is out along with the 178 ELD-X. For now, the 190 noslers match shows promise along with the 168 A-Max.

Have a savage 10 FCP in 308 with a 24 inch barrel. Want the barrel chopped down to a 20 inches. What gun shop is good to go to? Thanks

Anyone reloading 1:11.25 twist in 308

Picked up a Seekins HAVOK in 308. Twist is 1:11.25. My first time with this twist. Been researching online for the best bullet for 1000 yard shooting. tried last week using 178 ELD-M with poor results. During break in, I did shoot 168 Amax with great results but want a heavier bullet. Next trip out ...

Seekins HAVAK HIT

Anyone have one of these rifles? I kept going between this rifle and a RPR before deciding on the seekins. Just got it last Friday so haven’t broken it in yet. Mine is in 308. 1:11.25 twist, my 1st time with this twist. All my other 308’s were 1:10 twist. If you have one, please share your experienc...

Re: Aero Solus

Decided to go with the seekins. Once I get that broke in and setup, will sell my savage 10 FCP-SR.

Re: Aero Solus

Not a mossburg fan but does look pretty good, especially the price. Did some rough figuring on costs if I go Aero Solus. Would be cheaper going Ruger but close on costs if I go seekins.

Aero Solus

Anyone buy one to put together? One of my options I’m considering. Not sure it will be cheaper than buying a complete rifle. Looking at seekins, and Ruger precision rifle, in 308. Anyone?

Re: 10mm buldge issue

Had a total of 25 that needed to be re done. Still have 2 that did the same thing. The others loaded fine. Cass gauged them all that found the 2 PITA ones. Will remove and try again.

Re: 10mm buldge issue

Well, removed the bullets. Not as bad as I thought it would be. Resized and checked with my case gauge. Will load them tomorrow to see if any issues.

Re: 10mm buldge issue

I don’t crimp. I bell just enough for the bullet to enter the top of the brass. This way the bullet is seated tight. With 40 S&W and shorter brass, never an issue. With 10mm being longer, might be putting too much pressure on the brass. All the brass were the same length.
