Sorry for the misleading headline. I changed it. When I lock the BCG back to leave the chamber open, the slightest bump unlocks it and closes the chamber. Will be taking it apart in the near future to see if any parts are worn or the spring is bad. Thought I would ask to see if there is another area...

BCG will not lock back when bumped.

Have had this 12.5 inch 308 for a good 6 years. Put a AR Gold trigger in it. Sat in the safe for over a year. Brought it back out this year. Started slam firing. Replaced the trigger with the original trigger. Still doing it. Is it the spring thats weak that locks the bolt back or something else? Ev...

Thanks Warrlac. Someone on a different form had the newer book. Start was 38 gr and max was 41 gr. Will go off that until I get to the range and see if I can go any higher.Loaded a series to try. Will post my results.

Hornady latest reload manual

Anyone have the latest Hornady reloading manual? Need confirmation on the Hornady 308 174 grain bullet using 8208. Hodgdon shows start 39.0 gr and max is 42.4C. Fairly a new bullet thats not in my manual. Thanks.

Got it to the range. Still shooting cloverleafs at 100 yards so seems to a good job done. Time will tell though.

I checked there page a bit ago. Only thing they do not sell is the bar and the press itself. Once I get it apart, will use a micrometer to check. May send them a email asking about that bar to see what they have to say. Thanks for the reply.
