Re: Firearm picture thread?

Well these turned out nicely!! Both have the blackened BHW barrels. One is an 18" .223/5.56 and the other is an 18" 6.8. http://i725.photobucket.com/albums/ww251/gmnelli/IMG_0018_zpsjpcag1vw.jpg http://i725.photobucket.com/albums/ww251/gmnelli/IMG_0017_zpscegmjk...

W Trigger Guard?

For a whole lot less I'll sell you one of these. In fact, I'll mail you one if you think you'll shoot better. :)

What was once old is new again.

CONTACT GOV DAYTON RE Sign Suppressor Bill

I called the number GOCRA put on their FB page today encouraging people to call Governor Dayton. Rang once and Marissa, governor Dayton's secretary, answered. I was a bit taken aback at first as she simply asked what I would like Governor Dayton know was the reason for my call. We then discussed sup...

Vortex Viper HS 2.5-10x44, 30mm - $225 @ Cabelas (reg $540)

Thanks for posting. A good deal for sure. Too bad the 4-16 with side focus isn't comparatively on sale. With the V Plex it would make a good one to put on a QD mount and use for testing accuracy of a new AR build.

Re: AR308 opinions

Looking to generate some opinions on 308 platform AR builds. Currently in a build for a dedicated deer hunting AR. Building it in 7mm-08 (why? because I want too.) Weight is of course a concern whenever playing in this world of ARs but trying to get thoughts on how much weight to give up on the bar...

WTB: Single stage press

Looking for an inexpensive single stage press. This press will reside in my garage and be relegated to depriming only. Want to keep my reloading area clean and relegate this chore to the garage.

Meet up somewhere in the metro area.

Project Appleseed recommendations?

Get the 10/22. It's a fun rifle to have and tinker with anyway. As someone who has done an Appleseed, I would say semi auto and 10 rds of recoiless 22 lr is the ticket. Post up your thoughts after you do the project. I've been shooting my whole life and still found lots of marksmanship value when I ...

Thunderjohns -- New Storefront - Southwest Arms

Plus, no Stadium tax since the shop is in Scott County! I'm only a couple miles from the store.... if only he'd open up a gun range.... Seems the SW burbs don't have anything close except B'ville and the Metro gun range in Edina. From what I understand, there used to be one at Mystic Lake until the...

Just my luck

Finally sizing my 6.5x6.8 brass and after a quick tumble I found half my brass like this. Apparently my pins are 6.5mm... http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/15/01/24/5d03267d94c533f6bb135a9d34ff63f3.jpg I do love shiny brass though! http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/15/01/...

Suggest a survival knife

When Im bushcrafting, i typically have a Mora (Which is the best knife for the money, bar none), a pack saw, and a Grandfors Burks Small Forest Axe. With those 3 I can do anything. The problem when you try to get one tool to do everything, You end up doing none of them particularly well or efficien...

Suggest a survival knife

Sounds like a completely reasonable purchase to me. If I were buying a knife in that range for your listed purposes, I would look hard at the ESEE 3 or 4 and the Benchmade Bushcrafter.

Looking to borrow Redding or Wilson .290 or .291 bushing

Seeing as your last post says that this effect is not linear, it sounds like you'll have to experiment with different sizes to get the right one. Why not just reduce the necks like you have been doing, then chamfer the inside of the necks with a 22 degree reamer, (called a VLD - Very low Drag ) ? T...
