Re: Burnsville Pistol Range

As you all are aware, our shooting fraternity has a budding sorority. I have never seen so many women at the range, since I shed nimrod status in 1960. Subsequently, the increased shooting population puts pressure on indoor ranges like BPR. To shoot on Sunday, for instance, I'm in line about 11:30AM...

Re: Prairie dog scope questions

Consider first focal plane reticle. You may cover less target with the reticle on higher magnification. You still have the mil reference marks to compensate for the bullet drop/wind/lead. Bushnell makes a designated marksman scope 6x24 that performs well in daytime. You will rarely notice the actual...

Re: H110

I always have 296 or H110 in my cabinet. Easy to locate but usually a 16# purchase limit. If you need 2#, CAGI, I can get more next week. Fresh pours while you watch. Bring your MARKED static free container.

Re: What caused this bulge?

I see that on my Underwood 10mm fired brass. Their quality control allows some weak brass through and it will balloon

Re: Is it possible to reload your own blanks?

Of course!
45 Colt is a popular blank and same for 45-70. Just use black powder. I can refer you to a source.

Re: ISO local source for 223 brass

She will bag it for you at BPR. Cheap by the gallon bag. But not sorted. Get ready to pitch the thin web junk. Also some military crimp there because of Feds coming thru

Re: Anyone seen Bullseye lately?

Bullseye 8# on shelf last week in Omaha. First time in 2 years. Bought 2. It's back in 1# for the small volume shooter. My guess it is used in 22 LR, making it hard to find. You should find it once you look outside of Mpls territory.

Re: 8 pounders of Varget available

Varget in 8# is on the shelf nearly all the time. The rush is over. I would consider bring some back on my next trip out of state but We'd have to establish an arrangement prior to deal. I have brought back about 20 so far.

Re: Accidentally used CCI 450 primers in my 380 ACP reloads

Although I am neither expert nor correct, but I substitute primers on occasion out of necessity . The one issue is spotty detonation with lightly sprung hammer guns. Striker fire types with factory springs probably are better option. My favorite test is firing primer only in gun then measure bullet ...

Re: Where is the Alliant rifle powder?

RL 22 easy to find. But the suppliers in the chain for TC dealers not best option possible. Get to a different state and get . I'd buy it for you, but getting a committment is an issue.

Re: Who makes the best hand primer?

Find one and try it out first, before buying. Some fit the hand poorly and you'll never use it much

Re: .22 LR

Just recently noticed Walmart has been stocked with Federal Auto Match 22. It is good quality ammo, though a little smokey and fouls the compensators on my race guns. In the last few weeks have purchased about 30 325 rnd bricks.
