I also went Friday. Was there 20 minutes early. Had preordered a handgun. Waited in lines for four frustrating hours to complete that purchase. And that was all the time I had. They have to find a better way. That was 4 hours where I couldn't participate in anything else there. Very disappointed. To...

Re: Ruger LC9S

Been carrying the LC9s pro for a while now in a Sticky brand holster, both bought from Thunder John and wife. Practically disappears iwb. Very satisfied, and the trigger is fantastic. You made a good choice in my opinion. Accuracy is great. A friend with steadier hands than me made a half dollar siz...

Re: Filson Warranty

I am a firm Filson believer! I have u sed their customer service and it is exemplary. Ditto for Dillon and Leatherman. Years ago I had two tools break off of a Gerber multitool and contacted them to see if I could buy the parts so I could replace them. They said I needed to send it in. They quickly ...

Re: The World almost came to and end, Thanks UPS

I understand having the momentary fantasy of keeping it, but personal ethics would have me getting a hold of the recipient immediately! Golden rule time. But it also would be fun to ask the anti' s in New York if their world was less safe for a moment, at the mere presence of something so "evil...

Re: Gunstop, Im done with you.

Had great experiences there, especially with the "right" John. Had poor experience with the other, usually backroom, John. I am glad I got my Dillon 550 from there. Nice to support a local shop and someone who knows the stuff.

I recently became aware of Gander' s price matching policy. They kept it a little on the down low in the past, but I just saw an advertisement where it was boldly displayed. Because of that, I recently saw a handgun purchased for the Sportsmans Guide price of $427 instead of the Gander price of $549...

FWIW, I scored some mini mags at the Lakeville fleet farm a couple of weeks ago at something close to $7.49, limit one. First time I've seen 22s there in 3 years though others have seen them. There were only 5 boxes there.

Re: 1st revolver

I would check both gunstop and southwest arms for nice GP 100s. Can't go wrong with a 686 either. But you know that Ruger will love you back. I got the GP 100 Match Champion and just love shooting it. Accurate and smooth. Looks great too! After that I just had to have it's little brother too, an sp1...

Re: reloading bench lights?

Go with led around 3000k color temp. Get more than you think. Also, check out inline precision for a light on your press. Having said that, I have four, 4-foot fluorescent fixtures over my bench area, along with an inline precision light in my Dillon 550. Works well. When the fluorescents die howeve...

Re: Brooklyn Park - Permit holder involved in shooting

I just found it shocking that all local media actually had this story and included that the good guy, legally permitted, won. Although the red star did seem to make the point that the permit holder turned a robbery into a killing. Maybe they reported it because they realized 1 in 19 Minnesotans has ...

Re: H110

Didn't notice if there was any 110 specifically, but I was just at the Rogers Cabelas and the powder shelf is overflowing. The guy stocking it said he just got in a large pallet of different powders nd he didn't have room for it all. He also stated it is the biggest variety and most Alliant powder h...
