Re: Felons and reloading stuff

I have a kid that bow hunts on my property and is a convicted felon. He's served his sentence and is no longer on parole/probation. He bought a house a couple years ago and there was a bunch of stuff from the previous owner in a storeroom that included both loaded ammo and components. His lawyer tol...

Re: Minneapolis ‘hero’ cop Jamal Mitchell gunned down while tryi

Anyone wanna take bets that the shooter (Mustafa Ahmed Mohamed) is in the country illegally? Minneapolis cop killer, mass shooter had violent history, active warrants Mustafa Ahmed Mohamed, 35, was also prohibited from possessing firearms due to his history of convictions on violent crimes. The sus...

Moriarty's kingdom
What's this an allusion to?
If you're in Hennepin County, and you find yourself in scrutiny from the Justus system, you are probably better off being a criminal.
Oh, Mary Moriarty, County Attorney. Got it.
Re: Supreme Court Bump Stock Debate

The issue is a government agency saying that they were legal for years, and then doing an about face and saying they are illegal. That right there is an unjust taking without compensation. The justices also honed in on making people unintentional felons. If they want to make them illegal congress n...

Re: Sandals or flip flops while shooting

I don't know what FITASC is, but assume it's a sanctioning body for some kind of match. Their match their rules as far as I'm concerned, but I think it's crappy that someone didn't point it out to the shooter before they stepped up to the line. It is the international sporting clays association I b...

Kansas City Chiefs parade shooting.

Damn. They are way braver than I am.

Me too! Exit stage left is a sound strategy in my book unless there is no other option.

Re: Shot gun laser/light

I have a Streamlight TRL-2 on my HD shotgun. It's a bit pricey, but quality usually is. There are cheaper options, but none that I'd stake my life on. A friend has an NC-Star Tac Light on a shotgun that gets used for hunting raccoon. He's never had any trouble with it and it's had quite a few more r...

Re: Supreme Court Seems Likely to Uphold Law Disarming Abusers

https://www.nytimes.com/2023/11/07/us/politics/supreme-court-gun-rights-domestic-violence.html Several conservative justices, during a lively if largely one-sided argument, seemed to be searching for a narrow rationale that would not require them to retreat substantially from a new Second Amendment...

Re: California Father Who Opened Fire on Armed Attacker: ‘It Was

Great example on why people should be allowed to own guns for self defense. You never know when you will need one. Allowed. The last time I read the Constitution I don't remember anything about the government granting me rights. My understanding is the amendments commonly known as the Bill of Right...

Re: Guns/the 'left'/the 'narrative'

I know two teens diagnosed with Gender Dysphoria. Both have manifested suicidal ideation since beginning treatment. Neither had done so previously. One has become extremely emotional with violent outbursts. I would not trust him around younger children due to his outbursts. The fact that much of our...

Re: Greg Abbott Takes First Step in Pardoning Man Convicted of M

The prosecution withheld evidence from the defense as well as other irregularities. That's a big reason the governor is stepping in and calling for a pardon. Texas law doesn't grant the governor direct authority of pardon. He has to recommend it to a regulatory board (don't remember the name) and th...

Re: MRI dangers

My Daughter was at U of M Children's for an MRI when they had to shut the machine down because a mother brought something in that trapped her to the side of the tube. We had to reschedule her appointment. Was not my idea of a good day considering its a three hour drive for us. The anchors in my shou...

Re: Family of 12-year-old shot, killed in stolen vehicle speaks

I have become numb to most of these kids that get shot doing crimes.
Maybe if the parents actually raised them rather than let them run the streets raising themselves there would be fewer ending up dead at an early age?

I'm sorry, that might be too much common sense to expect.

That still means it has to be registered and what happens if they decide you aren't disabled enough to be granted a waiver?
