Friend looking for a HD gun/first gun

Is that a useless holster drawer or a nice holster collection? ;) I get the idea of trying to help other people avoid the same mistakes but I find that with holsters it takes using them for couple of weeks to figure out if that specific holster really works for my needs and body type. As an example,...

Number of Guns Americans Purchased in June - Wowza!

Too bad there is no ammo to go with them.... Us 'experienced' folks keep a healthy supply on hand at all times. Scoop it up when you can, reload everything you can and you never really have to worry. Agreed, but a lot of the newbies will be lucky to be able to buy more than a box of ammo for their ...

Friend looking for a HD gun/first gun

Sounds like you have a good plan. If I take a new shooter out, I will not let them load and unload on their own at the range. And they are instructed to put the gun down facing the target if they have a question to ask or think they have an issue. I also think it helps to keep it simple on the first...

Beretta APX

Sounds like a nice reasonably priced pistol.

Centurion has a regular grip and shorter slide, right? Don’t know much about Beretta terms.

Summer go-to carry

I’ve been eyeing this holster https://clingerholsters.com/product/gear-holster/.

My normal carry is their Stingray V1 which I modified to have a 25 degree cant. I don’t know about “cool” but I don’t feel a heat spot where it is. Plus kydex can be wiped down easily.

Looking for a good 22LR pistol

Buck Mark URX and the Ruger Charger take down are pretty different pistols. I have an original Ruger Charger and the thing is a tack driver with a cheap red dot on it. Hows the charger on hollow points? Isn’t that just a 10/22 with a different grip and short barrel? If so, I can tell you my 10/22 d...

Looking for a good 22LR pistol

This one has been on the radar for a while, I just need to get a 75B first :)

Looking for a good 22LR pistol

My favorite is a 1911 conversion from Nelson Custom, but I like 1911s altogether. Ruger Mark III 22/45 has been a good reliable pistol for me and is what I used in competition before getting the 1911 conversion. Mark IV has an easier takedown but also has an unsightly hinge :) Browning 1911-22 is pr...

Amazon charities

Heard about this a while back. It is not supported on their app and you have to go through that specific site every time - they are all about charity but yet make it inconvenient for people to use... Thanks for bumping this thread. This is now supported in the Amazon App where I tend to do all my s...

Permit to transfer?

That makes sense. I heard about some stores doing walk-ins 15 years ago, w/o the person having a permit to buy. Would they be using this section back then?

.30 cal okay to use for 6.5c reloading?

H&H ok ok, message received loud and clear. (But seriously, there are sites out there that say they’re compatible) That’s why I -new to this- turn to you guys to set the record straight and to school me on these things! I get that. Once in awhile though, for your own safety a good chewing out b...

Permit to transfer?

Anybody knows what this top section is all about?

Why would an FFL dealer have to report a transfer to local law enforcement?
