Re: MNGOC position on a bill in the MN house/senate

Hmmm I wasn’t able to find the official position posted. But then again, the site isn’t very mobile friendly so I didn’t spend a lot of time trying to track it down.

Unfortunate about your position though.

Re: MNGOC position on a bill in the MN house/senate

So no position until a bill is scheduled for a hearing? Makes sense.

Interesting. What differences are there to human physiology with respect to iron vs lead toxicity, specifically for adolescents?

Re: Minnesota Lead Ban and High School Trap

But banning lead shot? It's a proposal that indicates severe ignorance about what the actual problem is. Mr Strawser, what is the MNGOC's position on this bill? Here is some interesting info. Non-lead primers are a thing too. Is this proposed law also requiring non-lead primers along with the steel...

Hunting wise there are bismuth shot, tungsten/iron, tungsten polymer matrix, tungsten, copper, tin, and bronze all which have passed USFWS muster. Lead then steel at commercial rates, although steel at bulk can be cheaper than lead; then bismuth; then copper (although I haven’t seen copper shot in ...

Re: Minnesota Lead Ban and High School Trap

Why not use steel shot? As long as everyone is using the same rounds, it's still a fair competition. Doctors are pretty unanimous on the science showing no amount of lead is safe for children. It's funny that they mention the cost of changing to use alternative shells, but they don't mention the cos...

Re: Supreme Court Bump Stock Debate

The issue is a government agency saying that they were legal for years, and then doing an about face and saying they are illegal. That right there is an unjust taking without compensation. The justices also honed in on making people unintentional felons. If they want to make them illegal congress n...
