Re: Looking for a good Situational Awareness class

The NRA also has the class REFUSE TO BE A VICTIM. http://www.nrahq.org/rtbav/ I teach Refuse To Be A Victim. The curriculum is about mindset, awareness, and practical techniques requiring little to no training. There is discussion of self defense and "personal protection devices," but the...

Re: Trail Camera for surveillance?

I've been using a Bushnell Trophy Cam Max HD . It's a bit pricey, but more affordable than the Reconyx brand cameras which are good too. At night, you don't see anything, but it get's surprisingly clear pictures and videos inside 30 feet. It uses SD cards. You buy as big as you want. Then you can pl...

Cub Scout Popcorn (for you or the troops)

My son Ewan's cub scout pack is part way through their Fall fundraisers. One of the items sold is popcorn, both popped and un-popped, as well as chocolate pretzels and trail mix. You can buy some for yourself or as a care package for US troops. 70% of the purchase price goes directly to his pack and...

Re: Can The public carry Tasers?

falgore, If someone reserves their use of a Taser for when they are in fear of death or great bodily harm and the tased person dies, it's not an excessive use of force, even if death was not the intent. Re: Sighting in difficulties

Pinnacle wrote:Are you sure that you are not canting the rifle to the left slightly? Are you sure that the Scope is mounted perfectly? Thats where I would start.

+1 That would account for the lateral shift at differing distances. Zeroing at a different distance will not fix cant in the scope mount or your hold.

Re: Legal amount of ammunition to own.

... With that said, there may be a limit imposed by local fire ordinance, however. That varies by municipality.
