Re: TTSX vs. Partition on moose

Additionally- I have shot a .350 Remington magnum some. It’s a short action version of the .35 Whelen. I’ve had good luck with a 225 TSX and the 250 A Frame in that. The A frame is a bit slow unless you load it a bit long due to a lack of powder space. It’s less of an issue in the whelen. At those ...

Re: TTSX vs. Partition on moose

Are you reloading for the .35 Whelen? I experimented with the TTSX in my .300 WSM. One issue is the length of the mono bullets is longer than the same weight in a lead core bullet so powder selection is key. I had compressed loads and pressure signs so I am sticking with my 180 grain Accubonds for ...

TTSX vs. Partition on moose

Ok, I have quite a bit of experience with deer and game smaller with a variety of projectiles over the years. I also process my own meat and consider myself a somewhat of a student of terminal ballistics and analyzing what happened with the projectile in the animal. Of course the downside is that wh...

We have posted some updates on this recently on FB, Twitter, YouTube - right now we don't think they have the votes - but that can change.

That is the 1st ray of hope I have seen on this. Keep up the good work Bryan, Robb, and team.

Re: Lost or Stolen Passes House

law enforcement personnel would be able to arrest gun thieves with stolen guns much like they arrest auto thieves with stolen cars My very lame attempt at sarcastic humor. I was wondering if the supporters of the 'lost or stolen' legislation think law enforcement officials will be able to spot stol...

Re: Lost or Stolen Passes House

They should pass this same legislation for victims of murder next. Just think how many more convictions we would get if those victims actually cooperated?

It would look much better if the GOP controlled the Senate. That is for sure.

Re: ATF's poorly trained ‘operators’ are a threat to public safe

Once upon a time, oversight of the 1934 NFA provisions was the purview of the IRS, whose institutional interest was simply collecting money due the government. Then in the wake of leftist radicalism in the Vietnam era and the passage of the 1968 Gun Control Act, this mission was transferred to the ...

Re: Homemade gun maker convicted in NY

What's either funny or just stupidity about the law in this state is that before the 1968 Gun Control Act, guns weren't required serial numbers. So are they going to start making people that have grandpa's old guns a felon? That's the question I frequently pose to those who live in fear of 'untrace...

Re: This is crazy

My understanding is that this was misreported. Rod Doer had an explanation on what the ruling actually was and it made sense. I don’t recall the particulars though.

Rebarreling

Who would you go to in the twin cities to have a Ruger M77 Mark II stainless rebarreled? Want to go from a .30-06 to .35 Whelen.
