Re: Offering permit if pulled over

When I have had to take out my ID or credit card the gun has never been exposed. It is quite easy for me especially since I generally wear larger shirts. I have also never been pulled over in my 30 years of driving, but anything can happen. I don't have an issue letting an officer know that I am car...

Re: Offering permit if pulled over

I'm not sure if I heard about that one. Where did it take place?

Re: Offering permit if pulled over

Wallet is usually in my purse but now I carry my DL and Permit in my belly band when I am out. Of course he will then see the pistol. So I'm guessing I should inform them first, huh?
I forgot about how I wanted to carry when I first posted. The belly band feels great though and no printing at all.

Re: Offering permit if pulled over

Some good stories here! I just received my permit today. My husband has carried longer than I have been with him. He has only had one incident and it wasn't good. He says it's kind of a grey area and to make your decision based on the circumstances. I just want to be ready if it ever happens, so I t...

Offering permit if pulled over

Just looking for some opinions.
If you are carrying legally and get pulled over for a minor driving infraction...do you offer the information that you are carrying, even if they don't ask?

Re: Carry Permit

I used to live in PA a couple years ago. Since we had to put on the application our 5 last years of addresses she was waiting on a response from Philly, but I explained to her that we were only in that County for 4 months and didn't change the address on our DL. After that was explained to her she j...

Re: Carry Permit

Sig Sauer P238 .380. I've been shooting with that same gun but renting it at the range. I love that pistol! I used to shoot with hubby's S&W 9mm M&P, but it was just too much for me. I have Fibro and my hands would swell up for days after. I am much more accurate with the .380 anyways.

Re: Carry Permit

Still waiting. BTW- I am a woman. I finally was able to reach the person I needed to speak with at the SO. She said she had been waiting on something from Pennsylvania. She said she would try to get it done tomorrow. I asked if I could pick it up rather than waiting on the snail mail, especially ove...

Re: Carry Permit

The person that originally answered the phone had said that the woman that does the permits is just swamped with them. I still hadn't heard back from her. I left a message the other day. I hate to harass them and make it take longer. Lol

Re: Carry Permit

Thanks everyone for your input. I am working with Nicollet county. I wouldnt dare carry without the permit even though I know it is already valid. It's only 2 days late, but I am frustrated since I didn't bother with a purchase permit. So the gun I bought is still sitting at the store I purchased it...

Carry Permit

Hi. I'm a newbie here. Just wondering if anyone knows what to do if my carry permit doesn't show up within the 30 days. I have already tried calling the sheriffs office, but am unable to reach the person I need to speak with.
