Best place to buy? (Ruger Mk IV Hunter stainless)

I thought about putting this in the marketplace space, but figured it’s kind of a ‘public service announcement’- so: SportmansGuide wants $731 (plus tax) for the stainless model. I’m too cheap to pay retail at a dealer like that…..or is that the cheapest around town? Anybody have suggestions as to t...

Winchester Western Small Pistol Primers (worth?)

I have 1,450 small pistol primers still in the box and will likely sell them. I don’t reload small pistol. Not sure what they’re worth. The new Winchester ones go for about $90/1,000 depending on the outlet. These are a little older ‘white box’ ones.
Ideas on asking price? Thanks

Old B&L spotting scope focus knob frozen…..(?)

I have an older Bausch and Lomb spotting scope that was just one of my favs for the range. Took it out to the range Sat and the zoom and focus seemed to be locked up. Thought maybe it was the cold but now after warmed up the zoom is ‘stiff’ but moves and the focus knob just barely moves. Am trying t...

Old Leupold scope repair?

I have an old, old Leupold fixed 4x scope w a German post reticle. I was at the range yesterday and shots were bouncing around like crazy. I love the scope so don’t want to trash it. Thoughts on having it fixed? And by whom?

Riddle me this- upper fires on one lower but not another.

Went to the range yesterday and to save range bags/weight threw in a lower and two different uppers. (5.56) One lower and upper worked as expected, but on the other lower, the firing pin just created a small dent in the primer. Yet I pulled that lower off a lower I used with it back in Nov and if wo...

Re: Old lever gun ‘smith needed

OP here- I checked w/Flint and he said no. But he also said Ahlmans. I bought three long guns at an auction a couple years back- a 94 in 32 spec, an old 870 and the Centennial. The auction house said they were “sheer junk” and I was basically the only one interested. So by refinishing and selling th...

Old lever gun ‘smith needed

I have an old Win 94 Centennial that was super rusty, so I disassembled the thing, soaked the barreled action in rust release, and now I have a million parts and a pitted unblued barrel still attached to a gold action. I’m done. I’m looking for someone to finish it off and reassemble it so I can sel...

What are these for? (see pics)

I bought a 'grab bag' of gun stuff at an auction (got ripped off, but that's beside the point). In the box of stuff were these three things I can't identify- the oil can is an obvious, but am not sure to what and from where. No markings on it. The black tube of cleaning stuff I think is AK/SKS, righ...

Re: Feds finalize tighter regulations on gun stabilizing braces

Remove the brace and throw that away and you have a pistol again that does not need to be registered and can be used with a shorter barrel. Put in a pistol buffer tube if you want to remove all traces of the brace. Edit: the moment you put an M4 style stock on it, you have an SBR. I would not do th...

Re: Feds finalize tighter regulations on gun stabilizing braces

I'll chime back in- I spoke to a DNR guy at the Fair and he told me that if he sees me using my AR 'pistol' (with brace) as a pistol taking a deer, he won't care. But if he sees me using the brace as a shoulder-fired gun taking the deer, he'll confiscate it, etc. Regardless, -back to insanity- if I ...

Re: Feds finalize tighter regulations on gun stabilizing braces

Okay so let me get my head around this- Hypothetically speaking, if I built a totally awesome 300AAC upper with a 9" barrel, the Minnesota DNR says it qualifies as a legal deer-taking handgun in areas south of the rifle/shotgun border. And although it hypothetically has a buffer tube, (totally ...
