Re: 5.11 now has a Kilt. No, for real

I'd wear a tactical kilt while around the house, during the summer time. It's too bad they say it will arrive after summer is over. That's a deal breaker for me.

Re: VMAC Mac clone review

FYI: Velocity Arms is Hesse/Vulcan/etc. Is that a bad thing? all I know from talking to the guy in the video is that they are out of Duluth Hesse/Vulcan probably has one of the worst name in the firearms industry. I've always been leary of guns like this because it'd be very easy to have FTF issues...

Re: How hot is too hot?

Firearms are meant to be shot. I don't think you can do any damage to a firearm unless your goal is make the barrel glow. But what do I know.

Re: Looking for individual sellers...

The bigger stores can usually sell a gun cheaper than a single man operation can even buy one for. I personally buy from http://www.budsgunshop.com and http://www.gunbroker.com and have the firearm transfered to Mike @ PBO. He charges $25 for a transfer. You can usually save $50-$150 buying from the...

Re: Standard capacity magazines

I would have to say I call a standard cap mag a standard capacity magazine. I'm certainly don't call semi-auto AR15s and AKs "assault rifles".

IMO these are terms favored by the left to help with future bans.

Re: Windchime

It would be cool if you could post a video on youtube.com. I searched there and all there is is some 40mm wind chimes, but it's of course no where near .50 cal. 40 mm? nowhere near .50 cal? Yep, I kinda like this one. I wonder if you could tune them, ya know, with one casing each of several...

Re: sorry to start with a rant

I spent days last week getting the run around and leaving voicemail with staff at bills shop and range. I was tring to set up a full auto rental for a buddies 40th bday. Which gun were you going to rent? I think this is a fantastic idea and I would like to do this for my impending 30th (eek!) birth...

Re: What to buy? Typical newb question

Cost isn't a MAJOR consideration. I want a good, reliable, ACCURATE gun. Just trying to save a little $ where I can as I am going to be buying a varmint rifle, scope, etc right around the same time. Would like to keep the cost of both in the $1,500 range. I have experience with Sigs (sorry, don't r...

Re: First Gun

I have to disagree with snowgun that a target pistol will be more reliable. IMO target pistols have tighter tolerances, which are great for greater accuracy, but not so great for reliability. I agree with snowgun in getting a CZ75. IMO the are one of the top five 9mm battle pistols available. It wou...
