full size vs small base rcbs 223 dies

Does anyone know how much difference the small base dies have over the full size dies for reloading 223 for an AR? A guy at cabelas told me i should be using small base dies for AR. Opinions?

.45 vs 9mm ?

I'm just curious. Why does it seem that 9mm is so much more popular than .45? I have been to several gun shops lately and there are always .45 cal ammo but no 9mm. Also there is always .45 guns and not many 9mm. I just recently got a glock 21 that i have not yet fired but am really anxious to get it...

Re: ar15 lower and more info needed

Ok Problem solved! I went to Mills Fleet Farm and they had a Korstog ar ...the whole thing. I hymmm'ed and haww'ed and finally decided to get it. I was a bit hesitant because the guy was telling me it was direct impingement rather than gas operated and that it would be dirtier and harder to clean. A...

Re: ar15 lower and more info needed

Again i appreciate the help! The decision has been made. Someone else bought the lower so i don't have to worry about it. lol It's nice to know what prices were a few months ago. I've been told by a couple old timers to just wait it out but i guess i get worried about what might happen like everyone...

Re: ar15 lower and more info needed

Thanks for the info! i really appreciate it. It would be a real challenge for me to build my own AR. It sounds like a lot of fun. Sorta like customizing a harley davidson. I have the opportunity to buy a complete ardel engineering lower with 3 30 rd pmags 1 20 rd pmag for $500 does that sound unreas...

Re: Wanting info on the Taurus PT 1911

The only dealer at the Brooklyn Park show that will likely have a Taurus 1911 will be the guy that also sells the carry badges. You don't want to buy from that guy. Save your money until the next big show and you'll find what you're looking for from the more reputable dealers, e.g. Hart Brothers an...
