Re: Pitted With Rust. How best to 'restore'?

The 0000 steel wool is what I've heard can work on the rust but it takes a while. I've also heard that even if the bore isn't perfect the gun may still shoot quite well so it's not unreasonable to think your rifle might shoot fine. I don't know if you guns have any collector value but common wisdom ...

Maybe Stupidest anti-gun proposal ever

Disclaimer: this is from Reddit a few months ago and I don't have the link to it anymore and MAYBE it was sarcasm (but I don't think so). Someone on Reddit suggested a partial cure for the "gun violence" problem in the U.S. would be "reduce the amount of gun powder in ammunition"...

Star Tribune article on Concealed Carry

A rather straight forward article on concealed carry, we are at a record number of CC permit holders in Minnesota right now, brought about a BUNCH of vitriol in the comment section. Sometimes the blind, irrational hatred of guns and the lack of common sense concerning them is just disheartening. The...

Re: Lying dog faced pony soldier?

"Joe Biden Jokes With Voter: 'You're A Lying Dog-Faced Pony Soldier' | NBC News"
Biden was asked if he's really a viable candidate to win the 2020 election after doing so poorly in Iowa.

Re: You just can't make this stuff up...

Once again I can reference one of my favorite quotes which I think was from Ted Nugent; "I like it when people say stupid things...that way we know who the stupid people are." It's unbelievable (and I DO mean this LITERALLY ) some of the stuff people dredge up out of "history"......

Re: Commenting on news stories

The Pioneer Press seems to allow comments on almost all their stories. The Star Tribune...well their policy on allowing comments is perplexing to me.
I liked your letter and like your term "illegaler" a lot!

Re: NY Lawsuit Against Trump for allowing 3D gun plans

To me this is akin to San Francisco declaring the NRA a "terrorist organization". Beyond dumb. But hey, I like the quote that might be from Ted Nugent. The quote is, "I like it when people say stupid things. That way we know who the stupid people are."

Commenting on news stories

I avidly read the comments to stories in the Pioneer Press and the Star Tribune. That is, I read the comments until they get to the point where a few people just start doing the “YOU ARE!”/”NO YOU ARE!!!” dance and then I lose interest. (I often times wish the papers would limit folk to just 4 or 5 ...

Re: Seattle street shooting

Ghost---good one!

YukonJasper---I agree. By the way, that was a VERY nicely worded, well thought out, explanation of the situation.

Re: Will anyone be in Hibbing Jan 20 for the Senate gun hearing?

Check out the videotaped testimony of Reverend Timothy Christopher at the hearing... Wow! So very good to have him speak out. Some honest-to-gosh "common sense"! I particularly liked him calling out Protect Minnesota. Thanks for posting the link to his testimony. Looking forward to more l...

I had never heard of the Babylon Bee before. Thank you for the link. They have two more articles of note that I think might interest folk: Media Offers Thoughts And Prayers That Someone Would Start Some Violence At Gun Rights Rally "Nobody has so much as fired a shot. This is an unbelievable tr...

Re: PeaceHealth, Hewlett-Packard offices briefly evacuated

Another case of the vapors caused by the mere presence of an inanimate object. (Remember the restaurant where a patron had the restaurant's staff ask some law enforcement folk in uniform to leave or at least move out of their sight because the law enforcement folk made them feel "unsafe"?)...
