I shoot an 18" bhw 1-10 twist 6x45 as my main coyote rifle. I've loaded 85gr sierra game kings and shot a couple deer with it and load 65gr vmaxes for the coyote work. Very happy with the pop the vmaxes have on yotes. Easy to load for. I will agree that they can get mixed up if you don't clearl...

Splitting is part of it.(imo) Yes the logs would need to be cut, shaved, and set aside to dry for a good length of time.

RobD: The easiest and cheapest way to get logs is buy a drawknife and cut your own logs and debark. The look you are after is easily acheived when knifing by leaving on some of the inner layer of bark. I'm doing a ceder kitchen table for myself now and it has a similar look to the bunk beds you show...
