Re: My view from the range at Bill's in Robbinsdale today

I was in Bill's the other day when someone brought in an uncased AR. Two employees were on this guy fast, informing his of proper protocol. I've witnessed employees come into the range informing shooters of proper protocol. Metro in Blaine is unsupervised, the air quality is poor and there are bull...

Re: My view from the range at Bill's in Robbinsdale today

You should contact every SWAT team in America and let them know they are doing it wrong. If there's cover that a pistol round can't penetrate, then yes, I could see a rifle being used in CQC, but you're a lot mokqre maneuverable with a pistol than some big or even smaller sized rifle. I'm sure the ...

Re: My view from the range at Bill's in Robbinsdale today

So they are shooting 164,1 feet (or basically a little over half a football field away). Yeah, that's somewhat close for a rifle, in my opinion. Not as bad as what I've seen for ranges around here. That place isn't even in MN is it? What about folks who use AR's for home defense? Most home defense ...

Re: Michael Bane has an ND...

Good for him. I've never watched his show, but saw a training video he put out. I thought he was a complete tool.

Re: Let's see if Glock and Federal bow

Unless I'm missing something obvious.... How did the focus turn to 'if Glock will...'? I see no references to Glock in the article and Minneapolis doesn't issue Glocks, which has already been mentioned.

Re: My view from the range at Bill's in Robbinsdale today

I completely disagree with your thought that if you handle guns long enough you will probably have a ND. I know guys that have been hunting, shooting or carrying a gun for 70 years... They haven't managed to 'accidentally' squeeze off a round. A statement like that is just laying the groundwork to m...

Re: Man in Plymouth shoots himself in bathroom..

As an instructor, you want me to teach you how to wipe you nose and ass too? Sorry not going to happen. Some of this stuff you need to accept personal responsibility for. "Requiring" anything past the laws and the basics is stupid. You can't teach everything in a 6-8 hour class as it is. ...

Wasn't his philosophy that if you charge the most money, you must be the best?

Re: Groupon deals

GunClasses.Net wrote:So... not going to name any names, but today's Groupon is for a Permit Class at $135, reg $350.

Has anyone ever heard of a $350 permit to carry class or have any knowledge of what features it has?

If you read the details, the $135 option is for a voucher for two.

Re: Holster suggestions?

I use a Comp-Tac every day. I've tried many holsters from both national and local manufacturers, and I've found Comp-Tac to be leaps and bounds better than the competition for both comfort and performance.

Re: Another School Shooting

So how come you never hear about some whack job shooting up a police station? Cause maybe they're ARMED! It's going to come down to having an armed officer at every school patrolling the grounds. That's what needs to be done, short of letting teachers carry. Meanwhile, keep posting those "gun ...

Right... But just because someone kills multiple people (in general) they are mentally ill... Kill one person and you're just an *******...? Again, I don't disagree with the thought that more station needs to be spent on mental health issues, but it seems to simplify the situation too much. Simplif...
