Leaving tension on the spring is not going to cause excessive wear. Dryfiring a rimfire can damage the firing pin and, worse, can deform the mouth of the chamber.

Just got my my 6000 winchester 9mm bullets. They all seem to be there.

I just got back from the SCAPSA match. There were 50+ shooters and six stages. We started shooting at 1000, had lunch around 1400, and left by 1500. I'm not sure if they will be scheduling any more matches for this year. Website here.
