Re: MN Gun Owners Caucus: The 2025 Legislative Session starts to

Now will we see some actual pro-gun legislation, or the usual passive neglect out of the Republicans? We've had pro-gun legislation introduced in every single session. When you're in the minority, your bills don't get heard. Right now the Senate is a tie (33-33) and the House is a 67-66 GOP majorit...

Re: Trump promised to sign national reciprocity

First, the bills need to pass both houses. I think that's where they are likely to die.

Re: MN law banning binary triggers to take effect

Would anyone bother with binary triggers or bump stocks or trigger cranks if the Hayes Amendment were to be repealed and we could just buy full-auto firearms; even with all the NFA requirements? THAT I would be the test case for. If the law is repealed why would you need to be a test case? I meant ...

Yes, we keep the case page updated at https://gunowners.mn/worth. We are waiting out an appeal permit, details, the reasons, and the new deadline are posted there.

Re: MN law banning binary triggers to take effect

Now that the law is in-place, we wait for them to arrest some unlucky citizen and the court case to repeal it can get started. Anybody volunteer to be the test case? ;) Test cases are for other people. We don't need to wait for someone to get charged to take legal action (hint hint). Watch for news.

John Thune's Voting Records on Issue: Guns

He seems solid.

Solid. From a 2A perspective, he was the best choice from the 3 running.

Re: What are Trump/the Republicans going to do for gun rights?

Probably nothing. We'll get conservative, fairly Pro-2A judges on the whole. Beyond that, likely nothing. So perhaps the question is, what can people working for the Republican Party do to advance the pro-gun agenda within the party? What might people at the precinct caucus level, or functionaries ...

If Trump is smart— what am I saying, I mean if he listens to his advisors who are smart— he'll give executive pardons to a few Jan. 6 people who are most blatantly being charged for political reasons, explicitly NOT pardon a few guilty of ordinary criminal wrongdoing (vandalism, etc.) and for the r...

Correct, it's 67-67. I don't believe the recounts will flip any seats. The margins aren't that close.
