Truck lock box replacement?

I currently have two of the cable attached lock boxes that I use in my vehicles to store my handguns on those occasions I can't carry into my destination. My Ram 3500 has two storage compartments on either side in the floor board of the back seat that are covered by the full size floor mat. Tuffy ma...

Re: Off Topic (sorta): The Government will take care of us

I missed my "spirometer" test at work one year. I have to wear a respirator at work some times and so they test for lung capacity. They sent me to a local clinic to have the test done. I filled out the form at the clinic with my basic information (name, address, etc) but ignored all the me...

Re: St Paul--Wife With Gun scares off attackers

Another great example of the insufficient editing done in news stories today:

"What they didn’t know: Chang was armed."

"Because he can’t take his pistol to his workplace, Chang didn’t have it Monday when he pulled into his driveway."

New law in Louisiana-Teaching firearm safety in schools

Louisiana(where I grew up. Caddo Parish (aka Caddo County)is the parish where I lived) is seen to be backward in many things but in this they have moved to forefront as I see it. http://www.shreveporttimes.com/story/news/2016/02/23/local-districts-opt-gun-safety-curriculum/80800614/ "Locally, C...

Re: Justice Scalia has died

It's time for the Republicans in the Senate to grow a pair and fillibuster till a new President is sworn in. And it won't be the Hilderbeast as her numbers are sliding downward on a daily basis and I'm pretty sure the FBI is about to bust her balloon. It won't be Bernie either as he's too whack to ...

Re: Wis. gun ban proposal.

Guns America posted an update to their story on this at the bottom of the article https://www.gunsamerica.com/blog/wastrel-wisconsin-lawmakers-introduce-confiscatory-gun-bill/ UPDATE: "Call it democracy in action or the collective wrath of the gun community, but Subeck and her cohorts have deci...

Re: 9mm vs .45

I'm glad people consider the .40 to be out. That means there should always be enough to finish out my lifetime.

Re: An Important Lesson...

I'm assuming they have other witnesses or evidence, other than he said vs. he said, that conclusively places the other perpetrator there that they could charge him, not only for the home invasion, but with the murder charge as well.

Re: Beretta PX4 carbine

I have one in .40 as well. I converted mine from its PX4 magazine setup to accept my 8040 cougar mags. My ammo budget is restricted so having the rifle and pistols use the same mags and caliber gives me more utility. I bought mine used and whoever was the previous owner had already done the SP guide...

Re: Another example that goes against the anti's rhetoric

I know the full story isn't out. With what was said, the store owner chased the other robber. With the limited details, wouldn't it have been proper for the store owner to stay at the store and NOT chase the robber since he was out of danger at that time? I suppose one could argue that he believed ...

Re: 22 ammo question

Most modern pistols and rifles are chambered for .22LR. That chamber can fire short, long or long rifle. Ruger would seem to disagree with you. My 10/22 manual says this: The RUGER® 10/22® CARBINE and 10/22 Rifles are chambered for, and designed to properly function with, only the 22 caliber Long R...

Re: North Dakota Reciprocity

This is great news but when is DPS going to find out what needs to be done so that states that currently reject our permit, even though we accept theirs, will accept our permits. Texas is the one that comes to the forefront.
