Old book on point shooting book by F...? and S...?

Saw a thread on this book (not sure which forum so pointing on my most frequent) in the last two months and have searched individual threads, tried various searches, old book, point shooting and have gotten nothing. Anybody know about this book? I believe the date was from the 30's. Thanks

Re: In MN. wouldn't he go to Jail?

You cannot rely on the wording of the statute to determine the scenarios when deadly force is legally justified. You need to look to all of the case law on the subject. I presume that no one wondering about the legalities of use of deadly force in this thread have a permit to carry. If you did, you...

Re: An interesting book

The sense I got from the author is that he was a realistic anti-gun person as it related to pistols. Few occasions that you might use it but if the need arose you needed to know how.

Re: U of M Medical Center.

My healthcare facility used to be operated by Fairview and it was posted. When Mayo took over the signs came down.

Re: The good old days?

But when I looked at the pictures of kids with guns & how to familiarize them with firearms I found it interesting. If they still used pictures & info like this today imagine the public outcry. ) Here is an example of the outcry http://www.foxnews.com/us/2015/03/08/couple-denied-role-as-fos...

Re: Have Nice Day!

Provided it is real and I see no reason why it can't be or will be, the guy swept himself a couple of times at the beginning of the video.

The American experiment of freedom is quite young considering history and its governments.

The lcrx has an exposed hammer and currently is only offered in .38 special, thus the OP's wish.

Re: Found some 22 on Black Friday...

That's like 2.5 cents a bullet. So that is about the norm now for 22 ammo. Unless my math is wrong, that's actually 5¢ per bullet. Still not bad, considering a lot of places are closer to 10¢/bullet - and that's IF you can find it. Showing my work: $69.99 (let's round it $70 for ease of calculation...

Re: MN Suppressors

No, I haven't run it by an attorney. The post just came up today and I offered a response. The only way I could see it getting into the courts would be for me to be arrested for possession of a suppressor and then presenting arguments in court that would be compelling for the judge to strike down t...

In my response to Mary B. I specifically said it would need to be an issue based on something other than 2A " MaryB wrote:With that many states supporting it I think this could be a win in the court system and bypass the legislature... same for full auto It would have to be someone with deep p...

Re: MN Suppressors

Huh? Bypass the legislature? And what does the court system have to do with it? In the courts is where you fight issues that legislatures, city councils, etc. pass and won't budge on them. If it weren't for the courts we wouldn't have Heller or McDonald. Or the ongoing case in CA where the San Dieg...
