Re: Stay at home extended

Obviously there are individuals in the population that have higher stakes in the game and I don't think anyone is saying that they are disposable, however, the collective suffering of the vast majority of the estimated 98.5% who will survive is the question. All societies cannot withstand economic ...

Re: Stay at home extended

but we cannot stay in lockdown until the virus had been eradicated. It's simply not a possibility. This has been my thought about this. We're all going to have to face down the WuFlu virus, sooner or later. ^^THIS^^ Sweden's response to the pandemic; it is quite different than ours, or Europe's. Po...

Re: Stay at home extended

I think the public is starting to turn against Walz. The reporters were asking some tougher questions today and he was getting defensive. Not sticking to his original 2 week plan even though nothing bad was happening didn't sit well with people. Many are imagining the extensions going on indefinite...

Re: Stay at home extended

That's true, and any such loss is a tragedy. However, no one stops driving after family or friend dies in a car accident. That's true, but keep in mind that car accidents are very rarely transmitted to a stranger at the Dollar General 2 weeks after an infected asymptomatic person coughed on a bottl...

Re: Stay at home extended

This is ridiculous, and people are finally starting to see it. Let individuals and families decide if they want to shelter in place forever. I HIGHLY doubt taxing Timmy will lift the order on May4. It'll be more BS graphs and his comically poor understanding of statistics, and we need a few more we...

Re: Stay at home extended

What is the end game? What metrics are being used to keeping our economy locked down? What were the metrics used to put us here in the first place? My mother-in-law works at a hospital in Minneapolis. They have no patients. They have shut down entire wards of the hospital. They are now being asked ...

Re: Oakdale Gun Club "OGC" Closure

To be fair it was a vote at a member meeting so it was not just the board spending the money. Member meetings are attended, at most, by 50 members just saying Very true and that issue is an issue. and then there's that one guy who shows up, starts asking questions that none of gang of 50 is interes...

Re: Oakdale Gun Club "OGC" Closure

How did they get themselves into that position? They took out a massive loan that they are still paying on For all the 'no-blue-sky- barriers, I assume? But that seems to ask more questions than it answers. The barriers were a fairly recent project. What were the major expenses before that? I wonde...

Re: Oakdale Gun Club "OGC" Closure

Membership is capped at 1500 and it is currently below that # I understood it was raised a few years ago beyond 1500 to get new members that were needed for range duty. Even at 1500+/-, that's likely 2-3 times most clubs' membership. Wasn't the increase from 1200 to 1500? You might be right the num...

Re: Beginning of the End for Brass Cases?

Need Russstra to explain polymers. I would think if a polymer gets hot enough it melts or burns. That's exactly what I thought, but the article says the polymer actually helps keep the chamber cooler. This is the kind of thing I was hoping to discuss. It's fascinating to me that polymer is even a p...

Re: Oakdale Gun Club "OGC" Closure

If you want to replace the Board, you need to answer a couple of questions. ⋅  What is the current Board doing wrong? ⋅  What would you do different? Operate as a shooting club, as opposed to a member supported semi-commercial shooting range. I would recommend looking closely at...
