Re: Senate Democrats propose tougher gun restrictions

Does anyone know the frequency with which backgrounds are re-checked to verify eligibility of PTC holders? I'd assume it's more than the one time at issuance. It's done annually. In addition, the laws were changed in 2014 I believe it was that tightened MN's process on ensuring that a PTP or PTC wa...

Re: Red Flag law and safety

Well if you think it’s coming, it might be coming, a red flag order, pick a brick an mortar gun shop and put every think on consignment at an elevated price and roll the dice that they won’t sell. That is if the red flag cr_p makes it through. Some one with an FFL could possibly make a living “ hold...

Re: Red Flag law and safety

I don’t believe the red flag law is intended for JUST the mentally ill. You don’t have to be mentally ill for a spouse to claim “he has guns and I fear for my life”, just before she/he has you served devorce papers. Or your neighbor says I’m afraid of you because you yelled at them for letting there...

Re: Decals at Lowes

I kinda like the “ no guns allowed”. Helps me know that I should not support such establishments. Or snicker that sead establishments think it makes them a safer place. As I go in. I've actually took up space in such establishments, and not opened my wallet.

Re: For those of us that reload : Keep Your Powder Dry

It's been on my to-do list for a while to build a storage cabinet / trunk of some sorts that would have some amount of fire containment. Question is for the quantity of powder that I have what would it take to actually contain that to some extent. Wouldn’t “containment” actually make matters worse?...

Re: Looking for a custom holster

I’m still using a SRIGS iwb that’s about 8 years old. Every day. The black finish is showing ware but still works as it should. It did get a very thorough cleaning this fall, along with the carry gun that was in it. Went the entire was Cycle. No worse for the ware.

Re: How Banks Unwittingly Finance Mass Shootings

CASH IS KING. Just saying. The “things” I buy on line have to be bought with a CC. Only one firearm has been bought with a CC sense 2005. Surprise buy. Now a lot of “equipment” has been purchased with a CC so there is a bit of a paper trail. Ok, I'll bite, what is a surprise buy? It just jumps in y...

Re: Bump fire stocks

So IF I had a bump stock and mounted it on a Maverick 88 pump shotgun, my shotgun would now be classified as a machine gun? I’d be changed as a felony for the bump stock and a machine gun. My pockets aren’t deep enough. I wonder if someone else’s are? For government employee reading this, I don’t ow...

Re: Anti-Gun Researchers Undermine the Anti-Gun Narrative

I didn’t read the entire article. The antis conclusion will be that if the laws didn’t do any good the only answer is a outright Ban and forced confiscation of ALL firearms.

Re: Black Friday gun deal.

From all the different LGS I’ve visited in the last couple of weeks, they all seem to have the red head step child 40sw firearms on sale. ALL of them. Same for the last gun show I attended. Just saying.

Re: Operator in Eden Prairie

If he had at least taken the permit to carry class and payed attention during the class he’d been light years ahead in this situation. All 3 permit classes I’ve taken, every instructor repeatedly stressed, keep your mouth shut except to ask for a lawyer or refuse a search. He was released because he...
