Re: Independence / ATK "Blazer" 357 Mag. ammo?

For in-house practice - de-prime&prime a 38Spcl case, put a paper punch dot of paper in bottom of case over flash hole, pour case level full of melted wax, let harden, shoot, repeat!!! NO GUNPOWDER REQUIRED. Lots of fun - they will penetrate cardboard - best used outside because of potential lea...

Re: Independence / ATK "Blazer" 357 Mag. ammo?

Re: Ruger Blackhawk .45LC

For general all around shooting I would choose the 7.5" barrel as it would promote better velocities and reduce recoil whip. I miss my Ruger collection, had them all in 200th year Blackhawk series, but somebody wanted them worse than me, just wish they would have paid for them and caused les da...

Re: Thoughts/experieince on hunting in Nickerson area?

I've hit deer, deer hit me, while riding offroad motorcycles in Nemadji State Forest. A grouse to the chest hurts like hell ! I'm a member of Straight Arrow Enduro Riders club that puts on offroad cross-country events there. You will find the the deer will follow our trails. Our Club recommends when...

Re: Noob looking to start reloading

As near as they can figure out, the Bohica 50's were blown up by "slam-fires". When using a Bohica, remove the buffer tube spring. If left in and shooter allows bolt to be sent home by spring pressure instead of closing it by hand, the firing pin may slam forward in manner to set off cartr...

Re: Anchoring a gun safe in a mobile home

Agree - 2x4's to spread the load - construction adhesive if desired - 3/8X16 toggle bolts at a minimum - mark holes using pattern of gun safe - drill thru 2X4's, thru floor, STOP just as you go thru to avoid hitting wiring or plumbing lines (use a less aggressive Forester bit), use flashlight & ...
