Re: Another Proposal

My 2 favorite liberals have the cognitive function of 3 year olds... I don't think I want to hand a loaded gun to a mental 3 year old... if either of them had a hang-fire they'd probably spin 180* and point the gun at me to ask why it didn't go bang...

Re: Please help — Making academic case for guns.

Check out "A Workbook for Arguments" by Anthony Weston. It's really inexpensive (I think ebook versions go for under $10). Create many different types of arguments (analogy, example, several types of deductive arguments...), avoid argument fallacies like straw-man and red herring... That b...

Re: G19 Grip Reduction

Hogue grips are about as functional as reducing your glock grip. Obviously you don't have sweaty hands and you've never shot a Kel Tec PF9 in all it's sharp edge glory. Or just take a stock gun and spend $200 on 9mm and learn to shoot the frame you have. In other threads you're advocating for after...

Re: G19 Grip Reduction

Wow, lots of haters for the idea of customizing something to make it your own and have it feel the way you want it to. No kidding! Maybe the OP has 15 other Glocks that can share mags or accessories and is looking to customize the wife's gun. Maybe the OP loves every single thing about the Glock bu...

Re: Gander Rogers - opening April 30th

Just stopped by, pretty decent place. As mentioned prices are higher than Walmart but less than armslist or gunbroker. Some notes on pricing and availability: -Very expensive $8/box of 50 .22lr left -Bulk packs of .22lr sold out Limit of two bulk packs of ammunition Fixed. A little birdie told me.

Re: Who has quit shooting?

For .22LR, my reserve is 15,000, so I have 10k more than that to play with, and as always, I'll buy when I can find it at an affordable and reasonable price. Lots of dry firing of the .45 in my future. I hope you have 10+ .22lr guns to hand out to friends & family in a SHTF scenario at 25k stoc...

Re: Arnzen Arms - OPEN!!!

I can't wait to support a local business with my local dollars. So far AA is the only place I have been able to fondle 4+ handguns in my desired price-range and style one after another. I wish they had more inventory , but they did have a great variety for a soft open...I'm sure inventory will rapid...

Re: New Eden Prairie gunshop open?

I drove past about 20 minutes ago, sign was being put on the building. I'm pumped, can't wait to get in there and check things out. EDIT: Never know... you might have had a good thing with a purple sign as it would draw the attention of the fairer gender... I don't care what color the sign is, it's ...

Re: Flame suit on...

I took my P2C class this weekend (from Loren at MN Tactics) and fired a Glock (model 23?) .40 cal, a 1911, and a pocket sized Kel-Tec .380auto. Right after class my girlfriend wanted to go gun shopping and I was happy to grant that request. :) I think I've evolved to a $300 price range despite my ea...

Why get AZ/FL non-resident instead of ND?

I've been looking at http://www.usacarry.com and it seems MN resident + ND non-resident is equal to MN + FL permits except for the state of FL... Why does FL seem to be the popular non-resident permit state when their permits are $300 and ND permits are only $45? The only thing I can think of is it ...

Who are the good instructors in the NW metro?

Who would you recommend? I have a group of people mostly living west of 494 and north of 394 that are interested in obtaining MN permits. Please do not answer "Me" if you are an instructor, but do feel free to give positive feedback on someone else. Even better I would love to hear (via PM...
