Re: Gun store “operators”

A perfect example of the effects of a guy trying to buy a gun for a woman. I still have a standing $50 bet with any guy that thinks he can pick out the right firearm for a wife/girlfriend/SO to go into a woman's shoe store, look around and then pick out the pair of shoes that you think she will buy...

Re: Handgun safe near bed recommendation

I thought it was a really good price... guess I should have bought a couple... it was also during an 11% rebate.

Menards had these on sale a few weeks ago for something like $69 IIRC.

Re: Buying two guns for adult kids

Without knowing your kids I'll say 92 is a great first gun for your son, and a Ruger SR-22 for your daughter.

Re: Question about Bud's gun prices

Well it's not a K2... or a .45... but it is a SAR(something) and only $249.

Re: Lead ammo email from MNGCRA

To me, this comes off as being a bit dramatic and contrary to the basics of economics. While the prices are currently higher for non-toxic shotgun shells, the increase in demand for them would cause shifts in production and increases from the companies that currently make them. You can have all the...

Re: .22 LR

I don't know which stores those search engines check but Wal-Mart took their ammo (at least .22) offline back in June so the only way to know if WM has any is to actually go there.

Re: School me on 9mm AR's.

I just don't get why 9mm carbines cost so much. The HiPoint cost $189 and there's not much engineering involved, so it shouldn't cost $1000+ to make an AR run 9mm... I'm with you but we must be in the minority. Hi-Point and Kel-Tec seem to be the only players in the inexpensive pistol caliber carbi...

Re: maglula

I got a Baby-Lula from John @ SW Arms, I was going to order one but I had to swing by John's place anyway and figured I'd look there first. He had one competitively priced (within a dollar or three) and I could get it that day instead of waiting for shipping.

Re: ATF doesn't like the new can launcher, uses NFA

Yep, I wasn't thinking like a bureaucrat. Luckily for the maker I would think all they have to do is weld a birdcage on the end of it.

Re: ATF doesn't like the new can launcher, uses NFA

https://www.atf.gov/firearms/firearms-guides-importation-verification-firearms-gun-control-act-definition-rifle The term “Rifle” means a weapon [blah blah blah] fired from the shoulder and [blah blah blah] fire[s] only a single projectile through a rifled bore for each single pull of the trigger.
