Re: Julianne Ortman write in campaign

After doing some research on Mcfadden last night there is no way I can vote for him. The guy has no platform, no plans, and a horrible record of saying he is for gun restrictions. Anyone know if Julianne Ortman is going to to a write in campaign? In what way does that make him WORSE than Franken? M...

Re: Capitol Hearings Thursday 3/20

Are any pro gun bills being introduced this session, or is this a better time to just wait it out and hope for a more favorable legislature/governor next session?

Re: 2014 Minnesota Gun Rights Survey

What is Minnesota's reasoning for the full auto and suppressor ban? Not likely to be used in a crime considering all the paperwork and background check crap required for it. Are you kidding? Suppressors make instant silent ninja killers out of all who own them! Well, there you have it. We all know ...

Re: GOCRA Membership / GOPAC Donation

If every permit holder in MN -- ~161k of them each gave $2 per year....GOCRA could have a full-time lobbyist at the Capitol. We could push more 2nd friendly legislation! Wow! Great point. These days, that $2 amounts to less than one mag of 9mm ammo. If the permit holders of MN can't devote that sma...

Wow! That's a great attitude. How in the heck does abandoning the fight and leaving help?

Re: Email KSTP about Heather Martens gun violence fluff piece...

I used to wonder how legislators could place credence in the words of lobbyists who are simply paid to "care" about a cause. Then I realized that many of the elected reps are attorneys and that is exactly what they do for a living.

Re: Email KSTP about Heather Martens gun violence fluff piece...

I think her point about 4/5 being suicides is a fact we should focus on. If someone wants to end their life, it is none of my business and the instrument they use is irrelevant. I think most non-gun people think the number of gun homicides is much higher than it is. How much time is being wasted cra...

Re: medical marijuana split from Ortman

I am also a teetotaler, but I have no desire to see anyone prosecuted for drinking alcohol nor smoking weed. When their behavior affects or endangers me, like DUI, different story. Prohibiting one substance and not the other makes absolutely no more sense than banning certain firearms or magazines.

Probably, especially if the Republican candidates spend the primary season tripping over their own dicks trying to outdo each other on stupid crap like repealing gay marriage.

Re: Mitch Berg: The Next Useless Wave of Gun Control in MN

I think a real danger exists if the antis actually back off a bit. Last year, they were so full of themselves that they went full out with AWBs, mag limits, etc. If they come back with a "reasonable" proposal like background checks, I'm afraid it will pass with little opposition in the pr...

Re: Ammo Aplenty at Gouger Mountain

I have a $100 gift card to Gander, and yesterday I was in there looking to spend it.. I couldn't... I just can not support that place. I spent an hour walking around in there only to leave in disgust. You might want to think that through. Whoever bought the gift card has already supported them. If ...

Re: Home owners insurance & reloading

I asked State Farm when I moved to Wisconsin. If I have a business, I'm not covered! If its a hobby, it's covered. Limit is 20 pounds of powder total, and 1000 primers, stored per fire code. Let it BURN. 320 pounds of various powders. 20,000 primers. Fizzle - Flash - Pop - all gone. What proof??? T...
