Re: Second Saturday Breakfast - 14 April

Rotary12 wrote:Just read an updated forecast and it doesn't look good. Next Saturday is the first Steel Shoot of the season.

Wouldn't be the first time a steel shoot and the SSB coincided.

Re: Tennessee college senior defends posing for picture with gun

Apparently it's a new thing... https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DahWUfTXcAwwA35.jpg I'm looking forward to seeing someone posing in front of the Walker Spoon&Cherry. In a couple of months after the snow melts.... OK, but I'm warning you, I still haven't reached my ideal "beach b...

Re: Steel Shoots in 2018

Here are the dates of the Hutchinson Steel Shoots for 2018 4/21 5/12 6/16 7/21 Revolver as always. We let Pat Cannon think he has a chance one month a year. 8/18 9/15 10/20 For those who missed it, selurcspi surreptitiously (say that three times fast) edited his OP to reflect the 2018 Steel Shoot d...

Re: Illinois town bans assault weapons

They didn't just ban "assault weapons", they completely redefined the term. What they did was ban ALL semi-automatic firearms. Own a Ruger 10-22? Congratulations, you now own an assault weapon. Turn it in or face a $1000/day fine. Own a Remington 100? Ditto. How about a 1911? It's ours now...

Re: Fleet Farm changes advertising policies for scary rifles

Essentially it says that they made the decision to stop advertising to appease those upset by the notion, but reiterated that they are a strong 2nd amendment company and will continue to offer guns as long as they are illegal . They understand each sides complaint but the bigger issue is that they ...

Re: My Quest for a VP40

I’d never buy a scratched gun for new price. Did you offer to buy it for a 25% discount? That thought did occur to me after the second disappointment at the Owatonna store, but I didn't think my fragile ego could have handled being laughed out of the store by the staff... With Cabela's you can now ...

Benelli does not make entry level.

What? they do make cheap shotguns.....

Not semi-automatics, which is what the OP is/was looking for. The cheapest SA Benelli makes is the Montefeltro, and MSRP on that is over $1100.

Re: Current law for sale of an AR

As a private party, you can sell any non-NFA gun to anyone you want to, as long as they are at least 18 years old. There is no requirement for them to prove they are eligible to own/possess a firearm. No, not quite. They need to live in the same state. And although you aren't required to perform a ...

Re: What's in Your Ballast Bag?

My suggestion:

IIRC, the weight tray on the Lead Sled is contoured so you can use barbell weights for ballast.
Return the ballast bags, go to Craigslist and find a couple used 25# cast iron weight plates to use for ballast.
