50 BMG @ 200 yds. Bullets seem to yaw into target.

I also shoot at horse and hunt and can tell you from experience that simply clipping or stapling paper to their chewed up backers will show a bunch of weird things in the paper. Once, my uncle was convinced my glock 34 was keyholing at 10 yards. This is just a problem as mentioned above with the tar...

Signs for gun safe

Hey everyone, I've seen these before, but I'm curious to know your guys opinions/if anyone has such a sign. Obviously this is specific for California, but whatever. It seems like a good idea to me, but I assume there's more to this sort of thing. It seems like I could put a similar letter together i...

I dig it. If you find a good spot for getting one without theft, let us know.

Scopes on smoke-poles this season!

This is good news! I was interested in muzzle loader hunting a few years ago, but I thought the no scope thing was silly. This will get me looking into it again for sure.

Handgun prices

I think there are more value driven options now than ever before. 7ish? years ago it was hard to get a decent pistol cheaper than a glock. Now the ruger American line is out as well as a few others and building ar's on cheap parts were never so popular. That isn't as big as other reasons above, but ...

Carbine vs mid legnth barrels

Short answer is the gas system probably isn't the difference producing the results you are seeing.

Fixed vs. Adjustable Stock

I'm 6'6" and opted for an adjustable stock after deer hunting with a fixed stock. Like others said above, LOP issues with all the layers become prevalent. YMMV but I'd recommend an adjustable stock.

Social Media Stuff

My social media is almost all gun related stuff. I keep it all on the down low at work, but I don't much care if someone goes through my "likes" or anything. I don't post much though if at all.

Primary Arms 4-14FFP and other optic woes

I tried using a regular lighter. Seemed to work ok. Do I need to worry about heating up the screws too much with this sort of thing? How about the mount itself?

Primary Arms 4-14FFP and other optic woes

So does anyone have good methods of removing loctite from inside the screw holes on a scope mount? Now that it's one to remount I'm having trouble getting everything clean.

Things to Consider When You Buy a “Safe Queen”

Smith and Wesson has a similar warranty. 1 year to the original purchaser. However their customer service is pretty decent. Sorry this happened to you. I really want a 686 like that, but I may rethink now. Hope you can get it sorted out somehow.

Gun Vault

Ghost wrote:You could make yours as big as you want. ;)

Lol yeah. My fault for not completing my thought. That's more to say that the 7x12 vault room wouldn't be too small or unusable as I may have worried.

Gun Vault

Was just reading this and thought it was fitting http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_1_5/1993918_My-Vault-Safe-Room--Very-Pic-Heavy---.html Thanks for posting. I've looked through most of the threads on ar15, but didn't see that one. That will definitely be sturdier and harder to break in ...

Gun Vault

That looks awesome and I'm looking at building a house too. I'm going to take a hard look at one of these. I wonder what the shipping and installation cost is? I'm guessing shipping won't come cheap, but again, the whole vault looks about as expensive as a normal vault door you would buy to put on ...
