Re: Really Quiet 22LR

Im not sure if they are just rebranded etc but I've enjoyed using Gemtech subsonic 22 ammo. It feeds well in my semi autos and bolts (marlin 60, ruger10-22 savage mk11, 64, browning buckmark pistol). It seems fairly accurate and I've taken quite a few grouse with it.

Re: How's The Deer hunting Going?

I hunt mostly in zone 119. It was weird with the super warm first few days and I unfortunately left just as the snow fell. I only saw a few does. I did see 9 wolves two weeks prior in the same area grouse hunting so that is another thing to factor. I heard one shot on Sunday so I think my experience...

Re: What's it worth?

Auctions will likely get you more but I'd imagine on armslist it would bring in $500+. Actions a lil more.
I guess there are supposedly people paying $900 for a stock g19...but I've also come across some great deals in the last month, so it's hard to say it's only panic buyers out there.

Re: Boot camp shooting course?

Nice job! I'm impressed when someone puts that much effort into something like that. I'm really impressed when they use it.

Re: Barrel threading

I've had several done at Ahlmans. The work was solid minus I was told a price would be about 150 bucks less and that they would be completed before a trip I was planning on taking a couple of them on. If you don't live near them I would bet the other companies listed last time someone asked (may hav...

Re: Dealer to transfer new suppressor from out of state?

I've used a few places... Accutac will be my next. One benefit to a place like modern sportsman or a place with a range is you can shoot it at their facility while you wait for the one year of stupidity to end. I'll assume your friend is getting something for a rifle to shoot at longer than indoor r...

Re: Remington 700 triggers

I put a calvin elite in my 700. I've been super happy with it. Taking out the stock one was a pain. Some people say to avoid certain aftermarket triggers that don't perform well in dusty environments. That may be worth looking into for yourself. The only trigger I have had an issue with acting funny...

Re: Gas block question for a2 hand guard

The hand guard is the carbine length as well as the barrel (at least that's what I ordered). The photo isn't great. I'll just order a standard gas block and a hand guard cap. Thanks!

Gas block question for a2 hand guard

It's been a while since I've put an upper together. I had enough parts to maybe finish a whole ar pistol and or sbr upper... I know I need a carbine gas tube but what gas block "should" I throw on here so I can use this plastic a2 style hand guard? I have an SLR adjustable low profile one ...

Re: Reloading in 2020

But that equipment still has value... so if you say it's still worth 900 dollars....keep track of your time spent selling it....

All this has inspired me to reload during the imminent quarantine.
