Re: Minnesota Lead Ban and High School Trap

If they really cared about children you would think that they would first ban backyard pools. Or I dunno, maybe fund gun safety in schools? What's to be funded? Open up a classroom, and step back as a thousand certified volunteer instructors take over... I stand corrected, I should have said allowed.

Re: Minnesota Lead Ban and High School Trap

Cost is only one factor. Availability of ammo and the distribution that this would cause would kill this as a high school sport, but then again, those pushing for this know that already.

Re: Minnesota Lead Ban and High School Trap

Why not use steel shot? As long as everyone is using the same rounds, it's still a fair competition. Doctors are pretty unanimous on the science showing no amount of lead is safe for children. It's funny that they mention the cost of changing to use alternative shells, but they don't mention the co...

Re: VPN issues (Paid for VPN service)

I see that others have posted about VPNs getting them a Banned notice. I purchased a VPN service and I am getting the same thing, is there a resolution for this or just bounce out of the VPN to connect to this site? Hmm... I got the same thing from hotel wifi when I was in Colombia, recently. I had...

At OGC for the monthly NRL22 match the match director even mentions this practice of trap shooters and notes that it will result in a DQ from the match.

Who would rest a .22 on their toe?

Re: Sandals or flip flops while shooting

That makes sense, shotgun guys are always resting their gun barrels on their toes :D Know a guy that used to rest his shotgun on the toe of his boot. He had an extra leather pad with a ring around it so the barrel wouldn't slip off his boot. He will remain nameless, but he used to coach a successfu...

Re: Sandals or flip flops while shooting

I don't know what FITASC is, but assume it's a sanctioning body for some kind of match. Their match their rules as far as I'm concerned, but I think it's crappy that someone didn't point it out to the shooter before they stepped up to the line. It is the international sporting clays association I b...

Re: Sandals or flip flops while shooting

I get flip flops and maybe sandals if you are in a competition where there is movement but why no sandals if you are shooting at a bench? Hot brass on the feet/ between the toes...doing a panic dance, and waving a pistol around, would be my guess... I get that, but if one used that thinking then on...

Hot brass on the feet/ between the toes...doing a panic dance, and waving a pistol around, would be my guess... I know, right? I feel like this is one of those "tell me you've never shot a gun before without saying you've never shot a gun before" moments. Seriously? Coming from you? Pleas...

Re: Who is good for changing barrel AR10

Dunno, it is what is specified so I use it and it works. I have heard that certain antiseizes you don’t want to use with an aluminum to steal connection.
