shooting sports in trouble?

I do a little competitive shooting, a lot of trips to the range, carry everyday and hunt every year. By all reports there is a major influx of women into shooting, mainly for self defense. Not sure about national trend in hunting, think it is down. Big difference between city and small town or count...

Beretta PX4 carbine

Never owned or shot one, but lots of people say the HiPoint carbines are reliable. A pistol caliber carbine would be handy in close quarters but you should study over penetration of pistol rounds through typical wall materials. Wall o Truth and Guntalk have done extensive testing. If you live alone ...

Legal question regarding work weapons policy.

Just be careful if you carry and disarm when you get to work. I did that for years. I had a lock box cabled to the seat mount. It is stupid and dangerous to have to unholster and handle the gun, but I needed the job, income and health insurance as my wife had cancer. At least if it's a pocket gun, y...

Bushmaster Carbon 15 problem

Not sure what your setup looks like, but you may want to use a Helicoil: buy a kit that includes a drill, the Helicoil and installation tool. Or just put the money towards a 7075 aluminum upper. Based on the name, I always assumed the carbon 15 was made from carbon fiber reinforced nylon, not glass,...

CMP Games Minnesota

Could be fun, just be sure you read all the rules and any guns you bring meet the requirement. Curious that the modern service rifle DOESN'T allow optics. I wonder how many soldiers and marines today use a rifle in battle with iron sights. Zero?

Seems like a lawsuit in the making

In the MAG40 class Mas talked about shooting a fleeing bad guy. I don't remember the details but basically what they said above. If you're sure he's a bad guy and very likely he will do really bad things if he gets away.

Stainless Steel Knives

Which stainless steel are you talking about? 303? 440C? 17-7? S30V? There are corrosion resistant steels that hold a great edge. There are also stainless steels that get dull cutting warm butter. I have a Spyderco with S30V that I can get razor sharp and takes a lot of abuse. Google knife steel and ...

Stop The Threat TV Show

The Burgundy's sleep in the safe room at night. Bump in the night? Zero effs given. No one is coming through 48" of reinforced concrete. This, then hit the trigger on the claymores set around the house. House cleared. Not claymores. Poison gas, then purge. Claymores are so hard on the drapes.

22 ammo shortage ease up yet?

And a Tesla doesn't blow up if you make a mistake. You have large quantities of primer material and gunpowder. Lots of time and effort go into designing a factory that doesn't go bang when you expect a whirr.
