Re: Ahlmans reloading seminar Thursday??

Thanks for posting this. I plan on heading up there to see what it is all about. I am afraid that I don't live anywhere near you or I would help you out.

Re: What height for my reloading bench?

While I am not an expert reloader by any stretch of the imagination, I have been using a standing desk for years now. I cannot stand to sit all day (pun not intended) so I needed to find a way to still tyope effectively. Here is what I have found. Stand next to a wall and have someone measure from t...

Re: Looking for my first wildcat

Thanks for the feedback. I have been away for a couple of days. As I look into this more it seems that the 6SLR would be a good way to go. I am not really sold on the 6Dasher or the BR so this info is great. Anyone else care to weigh in? Slayer: can you either post or PM me that contact info? Whose ...

Re: Coyote Hunting

Prices depend on quality and who your selling to but expect between $25 and $40 in today's market. From what I have heard from those in the trapping business those prices reflect hides with no holes in them. I have been told that shot pelts run in the $5-$10 range. I may be wrong but this is what I...

Not really new

I just moved from the Rochester area to Redwood Falls and am curious if anyone else is over here. Much of this board are in the metro but "Farm livin' is the life for me; Land spreadin' out so far and wide; Keep Manhattan, just give me that countryside."

Any in the south central of MN?

Looking for my first wildcat

I am looking to get into some longer range shooting and am seriously considering re-barreling my Savage 112 BVSS-S into 6mm Dasher (currently .220 Swift). Does anyone have something with this chamber? Know much about it? I have looked at some other boards and want some good 'ol Minnesotan feedback. ...

Re: opinions on back/sob holster

Try moving it back a little more to 3:30 - if you match the cant to your leg angle, you can get to where you don't even notice the gun unless you're laying on it. I do this. In the winter I will carry my Shield in a Galco SOB holster. It sits really nicely if you wear it so that the two loops on th...

Re: Anyone have this problem?

A quick update on the magazine. I emailed Magnum Research and informed the representative of the problem. He/she replied that no one there had ever heard of this happening. Long story short, they sent out a new magazine at no charge. It is great to work with companies that stand behind their produc...

Re: Parts Kits

If you buy a kit - you know something is wrong when you are done but have extra parts  Nah dude, that's just how you make the gun lighter. That and drilling extra holes in the receiver. You mean like this: http://762precision.wordpress.com/articles/darkops-super-lightweight-ar-15-p...

WTB .220 Swift Brass

If anyone has some .220 Swift brass laying around I would be more than happy to buy it from you. I have a new rifle and nothing to feed it.

Re: Awesome deal

I got an almost identical deal on my tang safety M77. IIRC I paid $550 for the gun with the Redfield Widefield scope, leather sling, rifle case, 80 rounds of once fired Rem brass, and 20 rounds of loaded factory Rem. Mine is chambered in 300WM but the magnaporting sure does help with that. I love th...

Re: High end ammo box...

If I was in the position to where I could dispose of 2K all willy-nilly one of those boxes filled with some highly polished cartridges would look mighty good in place of a candy dish on top of my executive desk in my corner office. The market for these may be small but the profit margin is HUGE.

Re: T53's from Fleet Farm

That is pretty cool...barrel looks fat when its that short..must have a wicked muzzle blast There is really only 5-6" that gets lopped off. I heated up the bayonet and front sight thingy and punched out the pins. After that piece was off is just kinda looked funny so I cut that bit off. The pl...

My intact and unscrewed-with hex receiver 91/30's are in the safe. I wanted to try my hand at making a rifle mine and the Chinese variant Mosin was the cheapest and least sacrilegious way to go without wrecking an "actual" Mosin.
