Re: T53's from Fleet Farm

Excuse the crappy pics but my wife's camera died the other day. Here is a link to a really small album just to give you an idea of how it turned out--- http://imgur.com/a/FUgyH#0 I don't have the time to go through everything I did but suffice it to say that the instructions with the ATI rai...

Now if you put a $20,000 1911 in there...

Going to take more than Black Talons to exceed 2K in content value.

Re: Merry Xmas to Me

http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/11/19/e2yzu6az.jpg Like this? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk This one is the Talo version. I have one and really like it. The only mod I made outside of having the trigger cleaned up was replacing the "V" rear sight with a traditional VQ ta...

Re: T53's from Fleet Farm

I have one of these too. I shot it for the first time today, in fact. Rings the 225 gong like clockwork. Mine is in no way, shape, or form stock though. I wanted to try my hand at some home gunsmithing and did not want to sacrifice one from mother Russia so a T-53 found its way into the vise. Drille...

Re: Ummm....interesting

While helping with a hunt for special needs kids we used similar technology. The shotguns themselves (turkey hunting) has scopes mounted on them and iPods with cameras mounted to the scope. This allowed children in wheelchairs or otherwise physically unable to shoulder a firearm to be able to see &q...

Re: purse gun - kahr cw or springfield xds

The XDs or a Smith&Wesson M&P Shield are a couple great choices. The Kahr is OK but not as ergonomic or reliable. It would be a good idea to try a few at Bills before you choose the gun, only by shooting each one will you know which feels best and shoots best for you. I carry a Shield and m...

Re: I officially have a problem

Yeah...me too. Step one is acknowledging that you have a problem. I only have a single stage RCBS, and a Lee hand press for decapping on the couch, but the man in the brown truck just dropped off a Thumler's stainless steel set-up today. The first completed cartridge came out of the press yesterday ...

Re: O.O.B.D. - 50BMG

The crazy thing is that there is only a $300 difference between the Vulcan and the State Arms "shorty model". One passes Oldman's safety requirements and we have seen where Vulcan is in terms of safety. There is no way that saving $300 on a $2000 purchase is worth the added risk.

Re: O.O.B.D. - 50BMG

I have always heard never to shoot, let alone own a Vulcan/Hesse firearm. I don't intend to make light of that man's injuries but I do think that they should serve as a warning to the firearms community of what can happen with sub-standard products. It is tough to watch this review of a Vulcan firea...

Re: Large Bore Rifle Recommendations

A bit of a thread resurrection here...I just picked up the second of two rifles for this trip (a Ruger tang safety M77 in .300 Win Mag). Next question...I know that everyone has there preference when it comes to hunting bullets but I would like to hear them. I am leaning towards a 175gr for the 7mm ...
