Re: Labradar Chronograph

The use of excel (money to MS and a new program to learn) and the cost are negatives, but not substantial ones to me.

FYI some free alternatives to Excel are:

Google Sheets - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets
OpenOffice - http://www.openoffice.org/

Re: Tuning a DI modern sporting rifle for a suppressor

As long as the gas block is adjusted properly I think you're covered. Charging handles - to block or vent excess gas away from your face. Heavy Springs/Buffers - require more gas to cycle action adjustable bolt carriers - partially vent gas at carrier as opposed to blocking it at gas port For your p...

Re: suppressor recommendations.

Lots of pistol suppressors released recently, it's a good time to be in the market(as long as you're patient as many are sold out). Make sure whatever you get you can get an adapter for your various thread's, SilencerCo's adapters are used by some and very abundant - newcomers(even some designs that...

My dad wants the standards for his nylon and I am planning on offering up my mini mags for trade. Should I just ask for one on one trade?

Standards have been selling at .09 and mini-mags are .10 per 100 at Cabela's.

Re: Obama Calls for Assault Weapons Ban, New 'No Fly, No Buy' La

The NRA'as position and the Cornyn bill are not talking about the No-Fly list. They are talking about the "Terrorist Watch" list, not the same. Nobody in the Republican party, not even Trump, whats to ban people on this "Watch " list, just for being on the list. Get the facts an...

Re: Obama Calls for Assault Weapons Ban, New 'No Fly, No Buy' La

Under Republican legislation sponsored by Senator John Cornyn, the federal government may delay the sale of a firearm to someone on the watch list for up to 72 hours. During that time, if the government can show a judge there’s “probable cause”–the same legal standard used to obtain a search warran...

Re: Obama Calls for Assault Weapons Ban, New 'No Fly, No Buy' La

So the guy was cleared by the FBI and legally purchased guns and went through background checks but somehow he should have been on a no fly list? Somehow a better background check would have prohibited somebody who hadn't done anything wrong from buying something they could legally buy??? It's wors...

Re: Dead and wounded in Orlando

Still doesn't answer my question about friendly fire. When the cops went in, the barrage of gunfire was overwhelming. I doubt all bullets hit their target. Just wondering if any friendly fire hit the hostages/victims? My guess is we'll never know OR if known, we'll never be told about it. Guessing ...

Re: Dual purpose suppressor?

The Yankee Hill Machine 3300 series will handle .308 down to 10.5" barrels ... and the price isn't bad at under 700 bucks Fairly certain Bills had one of these in stock when i swung in there yesterday afternoon... Be nice to just go in, file out the back ground check like for a AR, heck pay th...

Re: Dual purpose suppressor?

Not to exceed pressures? So not able to shoot full loads? So what is the average cost of a suppressor? Also, are you required to engrave anything like the folks with SBR's are required? You can shoot full loads up to the rating of the suppressor including barrel length. IE for a SilencerCo Omega th...

Re: Dual purpose suppressor?

Just to jump in with a question. Don't own one but did shoot one when Del Tone had there suppressor day. You folks say get a 30 cal to do most calibers under 30 cal except the 22. Would it be wise to go a little bigger to cover say 308, 7mm, 6mm, etc.. or is that over board? Most 30 cal cans are ra...

Re: Carrying a long gun in public - lawsuit filed.

To be realistic about it, getting hassled by the police for carrying an AK47 out on the street is not exactly an UN predictable outcome. I'd have to assume that he took getting arrested into account when he slung that rifle and decided to go for a walk. Maybe that was even the point of the exercise...

Re: Bill introduced - Process NICS disputes within 60 days.

I saw that in the news, but don't understand the problem. Did FBI suspend the appeals process? That just doesn't seem like something we'd find out like this. They did. They stopped processing appeals about six months ago, but it wasn't widely reported. I heard about it through the NRA. Back in Janu...

Since you're being a pragmatist, please be sure to educate yourself on shortcomings of lead free primers.
