Re: Recommendations on good hunting clothing?

Maybe check into the complete packages from these guys. They are an awesome value, really good quality stuff. I may have to get their bow hunter package myself and I don't even bowhunt.

Re: Price for Shot ??

I believe the Gunstop is at $37. And Ammo craft has reclaimed shot for $35. I've been using the reclaimed stuff lately and I'm very happy with it.

Re: Colt Python.....Who has 1...

I have one and I'll donate my liver before I let my Python go. Good luck with the search though. I pretty much stopped buying handguns after I got it. It is the best looking firearm in the galaxy.

Re: Target loads 12ga.

Anything between $5 and $6 /box is good these days. I can't reload them for much cheaper than $4 anyways.

Re: Tree rats and bunnies help

I have done well in the past on bunnies in the Louisville Swamp WMA near Jordan. That's about a good half hour south on 169 from the cities. Be aware that it is not toxic shot and rimfire only. Concentrate on areas where field meets forest. I did better sitting still and picking them off with the 17...

Re: What gauge, choke & shot for pheasant?

Just came back from ND. Definately less birds around than what we're used to. We had to make every shot count in order to come home with our limit in the evening, cover more ground and not lose any birds after the shot. There were not too many young, stupid roosters around due to the poor nesting co...

Re: What gauge, choke & shot for pheasant?

I use whatever flavor no 5 I can get the cheapest. The Browning Gold has modified choke, the O/U has IC in the bottom and IM in the top barrel. I did get a couple of boxes of the Prairie Storm #5 to try out in ND next week so I'm pretty curious about those.

Re: Looking for opinions on Stoeger M3500.

The Stoeger looks almost identical to the Franchi 612/620 which is also a member of the Benelli family. The 620 is my grouse gun of choice and it's been through some rough hunts without a hiccup. The inertia system has worked perfectly every time, even with light 20 ga loads so I would be confident ...

Re: Advice needed for trap gun

The Browning Citori XT is a good entry level gun for serious trap shooting. Most guys don't really upgrade from that and I wouldn't want to pay a buck for every perfect 100 score shot with a citori. The Beretta 686 is sexier but considerably more expensive. After that we are getting into Ceasar Guer...

My chocolate lab's name is Fiasco and he's 95 lbs of love. Great duck dog and halfway decent for pheasants. http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg210/belgiboy/twotireddogs.jpg http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg210/belgiboy/nd09fiascoandme.jpg http://i249.pho...
