Re: Blazer 40cal sighting @ 30+ boxes

The fleetfarm in Brooklyn Park had 40Cal CCI Blaser Bass on Saturday, similar quantities. They had the Remington bulk pack 22LR as well.

Re: bullet weight and twist rate

I usualy refer to the Shilen site. My 243 has a Shilen crome-moly barrel in 1:10 twist. I didn't have much of a choice in the twist rate, it was a pre threaded short chambered barrel from either Midway or Brownells.

Re: cleaning brass

I use walnut Parrot bedding material from a pet store, it is much less than the cost of media sold for reloading. Is the "Parrot" a brand name or bedding used for a parrot? It is just the bedding they had in the bird section of the stoor, nothing fancy. It doesn't seem to produce very muc...

Re: cleaning brass

I use walnut Parrot bedding material from a pet store, it is much less than the cost of media sold for reloading. Seems to work fine so far on about 3K both pistol and rifle. Just add some of the brass polish to it and you should be set. My biggest problem is capacity, as long as your 1200 has plent...

Re: Gun shops in and around the Twin Cities

I know many of us live within the greater metro area, so I was hoping I could get some feedback on your favorite gun stores. There are quite a few I haven't been to yet (Metro Pawn & Gun, Bill's Gun Shop, Koscielski's Guns & Ammo), but I get a few general impressions of a lot of these place...

Re: Berry's 9mm 124 Gr HP Reloading ????

I had this happen with my 45ACP. The Lee 228gr LRN seems to have a very blunt round nose. When seated to the standard length in the load books the bullet would make contact with the rifling. I used my case gauge to seat the bullet deaper till it would champer properly. These case gauges really come ...

Re: Rimefire league help

Metro Gun club in Blaine has an indoor .22 pistol league in the winter. I shot on the centerfire league last winter it was a lot of fun! You don't need to be a member to shoot on the league.

Re: Any local source for scrap lead for bullet casting?

Good luck finding one that doesn't have at least two or three people already picking up there lead weights. Even heading out into the sticks and you find that somebody is collecting their wheel weights. A nice idea, but you are going to have to make a lot of phone calls or personal visits to score e...
