Holland&Holland wrote:Yes but try that with a jury once and I suspect you will find that the end result is not in alignment with your arguement.

Right, I'll get right on that.

In your pocket? I think you might need to talk to your parish priests about that.

Re: Stand your ground or murder? (Video of the event)

You were a contributing factor just by driving drunk. You do realize that drinking impairs your ability to drive, which is why they make it illegal, right? Living also impairs your abilities. It has been proven that living people have reaction speeds slower than dead people. The dead have a reactio...

With the number of folks at gun stores willing to give advice, I'm sure you can find a few decades worth of advice both online and in person.

Re: Rosaries banned at Coon Rapids High School

Seems like a violation of that students rights. I'm all for not forcing kids to say the pledge and refer to god, etc... but banning religious emblems is a bad move. Student rights? Ban fricken everything. They should go to school without clothes. If they want to disagree they can be spanked by a me...

Re: Stand your ground or murder? (Video of the event)

Felony murder rule. Heffay is right again. Blow the stop sign and someone dies, YOU WILL BE CHARGED, no matter what your state of inebriation, or lack of it, is. The level of offense will be dependent on factors like intoxication, negligence and recklessness. So you're saying the drunk driver will ...

Re: Stand your ground or murder? (Video of the event)

2 drunk drivers, each with a passenger. They collide, drunk drivers survive, both passengers die. I believe they'll charge both drivers with 2 counts of manslaughter each. How is a drunk driver guilty of manslaughter simply by being drunk? There is an action which needs to take place to cause an ac...

Re: Stand your ground or murder? (Video of the event)

That's more of a civil matter. There is a ton of case law... Two drunk drivers hit each other, it can be proven one of them crossed over the median, etc. If two drunk drivers hit each other, they were both breaking the law, and both can be convicted, regardless of which of them crossed the median. ...

Re: Rosaries banned at Coon Rapids High School

I really doubt that he does not know it is a gang symbol and while media loves a good trolling story to get us amped up, teenagers love to push buttons even more so. My locker was searched for drugs in grade school and they confiscated a metal clipboard saying it could be used as a weapon. Obviousl...

What a travesty...what message are they trying to push? Armed citizens are dangerous? Jeez. Australians are all criminals except for those aboriginal weed smoking blokes. You know it was a prison colony! http://www.ushmm.org/propaganda/assets/images/500x/photo-hitler-olympics.jpg

Re: Stand your ground or murder? (Video of the event)

Not paying your tabs doesn't affect your reaction time. In gun terms, the moment I got behind the wheel drunk, I became a willing participant in anything that happened to me after that. You're fixated on this willing participant issue aren't you? Not paying your tabs affects your ability to legally...
