Garage Logic against Stand Your Ground

Unfortunately about five minutes ago Garage Logic spent about 10 minutes refuting the need for the Stand Your Ground legislation. Their point was that the current bill is good enough. That viewpoint seems to be gathering momentum; comments such as "Why should anyone be allowed to shoot a teenag...

Can I Borrow a Couple Speedloaders...?

Hey guys, Just wondering if anyone might have a couple (3?) speedloaders for an S&W model 60, a J-Frame five shot revolver? I recently bought a new one and would like to try it out at IDPA, but turns out that they frown on me loading the gun up bullet by bullet on the course! So if anyone has an...

BBQ Wood Chunks--Mesquite and Hickory

I have two, unopened 5 pound bags of wood chunks for the BBQ grill. One is mesquite and one is hickory. I use these to actually cook with instead of charcoal, but you can, of course, also use them soaked simply to give flavored smoke to whatever you are cooking. They cost $10/bag, just trying to get...

Black & Decker Electric Hedge Trimmer

I have a nearly new Black and Decker electric Hedge Trimmer--16 inches--for sale. I believe it was used a total of four times before we did major landscaping and took out the hedge which I was going to be using it on. I still even have the documentation. You will have to buy a new extension cord (an...

Re: Never going to Bills Range again...

I am with you on every single thing you said. I make it a policy never to go to Bill's anymore if I am the one paying for it. The attitude and fee structure over there just simply sucks and I won't pay them to get abused and used.

Re: Officer shot

Still today the story is "We just don't know what happened...we are still looking into it". Clearly by now, nearly 48 hours later, they know exactly what happened...and simply don't want to tell the public what happened. Consequently I would be willing to bet almost my last dollar it is a ...

Re: Anyone See KARE 11 Report on "Stand Your Ground"?

You are probably right. I have so much disdain generally for media and the media types that I really just tune them and their opinions out generally. I probably just don't usually notice. But it is a shame how "news" has gone from largely reporting the facts (40 years ago, when I first bec...

Anyone See KARE 11 Report on "Stand Your Ground"?

I was watching KARE 11 at 5:00 tonight, and they had an article on the Stand Your Ground legislation. I have always been a fan of KARE 11 news so I was appalled and shocked at the one-sided and twisted way they presented it. They let Tony Cornish say just a sentence or two about it to start the arti...

Re: Ruger 1911 on ruger.com

So...from the video: 1) It is a copy of the Colt 70 2) It is made in America 3) None of the fancy parts you see on the gun will be sold with the gun but can be bought later at additional price 4) It is made in America 5) The 8-round magazine won't work and shouldn't be trusted 6) it is made in Ameri...
