Re: WTS / WTT - Reverse Osmosis Water System

Coolest thing about these is you can mount them to a water hose and not have the dry your car after you wash it.

It leaves no water spots!

Re: Local 1911 Gunsmiths that are "Upper Class"

Very good guys. Thanks for the replies. I am going to have a laundry list of things done, beveled mag-well, trigger job, chainlink, etc. I think sending it to Springfield will be my best option because it will still have the lifetime warranty. Obviously there are some things others or myself can do ...

Local 1911 Gunsmiths that are "Upper Class"

Anyone know any really good 1911 gunsmiths around the metro area? I'm looking to have some work done for a X-mas Present and want prices around here vs. the Custom Shop of Springfield. I obviously want the work to be top notch. We are all human, so it doesn't need to be perfect. No shipping is a big...

Re: My LW Operator...

Awww crap! ... I was wonderin' 'bout that ... flat was first, eh? http://smile.krok.us/uh-oh.gif FWIW, I was thinkin' more 'bout the 1911-A1 ... and how the flat's become a " feature " in recent years. http://krok.us/images/smilies/shrug.gif Technically, I thin...

Re: My LW Operator...

Re: ahrens, I'm glad to see that there are other fans of the arched mainspring housing out there. The way I grip my 1911s the flat housing doesn't make contact with my strong hand at all, the arched ones do at least a little, and I prefer to maximize the gripping contact surface. I couldn't agree m...

Re: My LW Operator...

This gun is a ton of fun. Thing shoots better than I do, fed 50 FMJ's down the pipe yesterday, without a hitch. After the holidays I'll run 2-300 misc. HP rds. and certify it for my HD/EDC duty. I have zero complaints, slide is tight, barrel locks up tightly, only thing I am changing is the MSH/Magw...

Thanks! Learn something new. Was watching hickok45 on you tube, he had a xd45 mag for his XDm .45. Makes sense. :high5:

Re: New Springfield XDM 3.8 Compact

I modified the Pearce grip extension from my XD9SC, I think it looks and feels great. I'll be modifying some others when I get my 3 free mags. Looks badass... I thought you can use the xd mags with either xd's or xdm's? That's what I've heard, don't own one. If that's true, why modify? Learn me!

Re: I like 1911's

I use the slim grips on the Kimber SIS Pro I carry because I have smaller hands -- I also like the look better than the stock kimber grips. I have slim grips on my other Kimbers as well. On the Springfield TRP and my Springfield Mil-Spec, I'm using the stock grips that came with both pistols. The T...
