Re: Paint removal from a blued gun?

brake cleaner will remove most any paint without damaging blueing. But, ask yourself what is the paint covering? Well, you can reblue or duracoat for about $50.

Re: Gun Storage and Maintenance

Silicone rag soaked in remoil. Remoil is about as good as you are going to get without using wax. Do not get in the habit of using CLP to wipe down guns, look at all the privates in the boot camp carrying their shiny silver rifles. I use remoil for surface protection only, CLP for most everything el...

Re: FNAR Match

Cabela's has a sale once in awhile, for winchester sxar for $849-$899. This is more or less identical to the fnar(do not believe fn reps, same factory, same everything). Fnar sxar can have same after market stocks used on browning bar. Trigger job for $49, fnar weaver rail $20, and so on. You can do...

Re: Smith & Wesson M&P 9mm compact

Reset can be adjusted (permanently), instructions are on the brownell site. Best thing about the m&p is no stacking, as the trigger is pulled. Constant pressure till bang. Little work will transform a clunky trigger into a custom job.

Re: Smith & Wesson M&P 9mm compact

Well, I miss my kimber. Although, springfield is good enought. Springfield has 3 1/2lbs of pull and the m&p now has about 2 1/2lbs.

Re: Smith & Wesson M&P 9mm compact

I may be at the Oakdale gun club this Wed. This is during the daytime, probably before noon. Let me know if you want me to bring the gun. My opinion, in 9mm get m&p 9c, in 45 G36. With a little work on the internals with no after market parts, my 9c has even better trigger than my 1911 and group...
