Re: LED Safe Lighting

I've heard that the heat given off by a lightbulb is enough to do the job of a "goldenrod" type device, so would it follow that if you wired up a socket or sockets into your safe and put in rough service long life bulbs in there (low enough wattage as to not overheat) that you could get bo...

Re: Petition for DOJ stop zimmerman investigation

Although it may feel good to voice your opinion, I have no evidence that suggests these petitions do any good at all. That is especially the case when they reflect a viewpoint contrary to the Administration. I'd suggest using your time to get people elected who aren't going to support double jeopard...

Re: We No Longer Need To Fear Armed Criminals

Taunting and ridiculing your attacker has always been a go to strategy in my book. I've always found that insulting them and if possible disrespecting their family is a great idea. Glad it worked out for her.

UPDATE: Crimson Trace Grips Caput?

Update: The Crimson Trace customer service is great. Not only did I get a new set of grips, I got batteries, 2 each sight adjustment tools and lense swabs. I was expecting a call to say they could be repaired for $XX. Very happy with the end result.

Thanks for the encouragement to send them in.

Re: JAKL Machine 80% Build Party

The company doing the anodizing is Hardcoat, inc . The lot charge for anodizing is $125, so the price will be $25 per lower. All lowers must have a serial number, so if you haven't had one added already, please do so. It can be located under the grip, as long as it's visible so they can log it in t...

Re: Open Streets event NO LONGER OPEN CARRY:)

I think the issue becomes inserting yourself, armed, into a volitile situation. We should be able to rely on the Carry folks to remain in control, its the Anti's that will be in full provocation mode. The responsibility of retreating and avoiding situations that may result in conflict is the primary...

Re: Open Streets event NO LONGER OPEN CARRY:)

I look forward to reports from these events. Even if you reach everyone, I don't think you'll get through to everyone. I am hoping that common sense will prevail, but I'll pretty much guarantee you that there will be people OCing just to prove the point that our friend Stylin750 has made. I hope it ...

Re: Carry weapon

g26 or G36 IWB 4 or 5 o'clock - shorts/pants with a good heavy duty belt and an untucked hawaiian shirt - or snubbie revolver pocket carry. Thing that gets most guys is they don't adjust the size of their clothing to allow for the extra room you need for IWB or the extra bagginess needed for pocket ...

Re: child abuse by politicized, power-drunk thought police

Good thing they don't come into my neighbors and my backyards when all the kids in a 2 block radius get together for the latest episode of their "war". Right now, the 5-13 y/o side is beating the 9-18 y/o side. They use nerf guns, broken airsoft guns and the like. You get to hear "Ba...

Re: child abuse by politicized, power-drunk thought police

i agree. Most people overlook the larger implication and want to pick at the details of the individual events - they miss the larger - cumulative impact of thought suppression and behavior modification through opperant conditioning. Societal control via incremental dulling of the individual will thr...

Re: Shooting spots

I have the same struggle and belonged to Dakota County Gun Club for a while, but let the membership lapse. There used to be a 2-3 year waiting list, not sure if that is still the case. Its probably going to get you as close to what you want as you can get. http://www.dakotacountygunclub.org/ My comp...
