Re: Future of the 2nd Saturday North Breakfast

Mike, The 2nd Saturday breakfast was my first opportunity to meet any of the 'locals', and the experience was quite the opposite of the encounter you describe with 'the inner-circle'. Although it's sometimes tough walking into a room of strangers, everyone I met was open and cordial. Thanks for your...

Guns stolen from tornado-damaged Minneapolis home

"...History buffs aren't the only ones interested in World War II memorabilia. After a tornado hit North Minneapolis on Sunday, burglars reportedly stole more than $6,300 worth of WWII guns and other military equipment from a dark home. The missing weapons are an auto-ordnance, 1911, 45 pistol ...

HF 1467- The most important update to MN gun law since MCPPA

Actually, unless Dayton resigns, it'll be the same Democrat in the governor's mansion. He was elected in 2010, and his term doesn't expire until 2014. If he signs a stadium bill, I'll be the first in line to sign a recall petition. ;) I heard him on the news earlier today. He said he would welcome ...

Re: I hate the USPS!!! My mailman need a whoopin'

About once or twice a month I'll find some nearby resident's mail mixed in with mine. It's usually someone less than a block away, so I drop it off. What concerns me is that it's only about once a year, someone will drop off my misplaced mail...

... from ... http://www.foxnews.com/us/2011/05/23/fbi-reports-55-percent-drop-violent-crime/ ... The downward trend for murder and non-negligent manslaughter was especially pronounced in the nation's smallest cities, where it went down 25.2 percent for cities under 10,000 people. Now wh...

Re: Garage Logic against Stand Your Ground

Patrick Reusse is a big Fat Walrus....he's on sports talk on Channel 5 and he can barely fit in the chair....he's north of 350 could be pushing 400. Patric, The Walrus, Reusse. :D Back in '08, I went to the Saturday Sports Talk Live show. Even then the guy was so grotesquely obese, it was difficult...

Re: Garage Logic against Stand Your Ground

Beyond the name-calling and physical characterization: Reusse is so liberal as to make Obama blush. I'm not sure one could make Obama blush, particularly from the left. Reusse(sp?) does seem to hang on to his small town, prairie populist upbringing, as well as the: 'I've- never-seen-a-plan-for-a-ta...

Re: Minneapolis Curfew in Effect

Do they mean a "curfew" as in for kids? Do they actually mean adults have to are expected to stay in? They mean adults - I believe there is statutory authority for this. We deal with this a lot when we have storm impact in various cities - just went through it with our locations in Alabam...

Re: Adventures in Open Carrying

I had a bit of sympathy for the first cop until he became fowl and belligerent. But now, the entire department has dirty hands. If ignorance of the law is no excuse, what the hell is willful violation? Hopefully Mr Fiorino will figure out how to conduct his affairs without getting a gun pointed at h...
