Re: It begins: HF3022

I called Davnie's office today and spoke with his assistant to express my concern. He was of the opinion it will not see the light of day at least in "full". That said I think the call was worthwhile, if for nothing else than to let them know there are a few of us pro rights individuals in...

Re: Restricted buyer

Well yeah, sometimes. Particularly if they have absolutely nothing to do with you. This is where the MYOB concept comes in. Do you also attempt to stop every incident of jay walking you see, or is it just firearm-related laws that you find yourself unable to ignore? I don't worry too much about J w...

Re: Restricted buyer

Was at a charity event and a guy won a gun. When he went to sign for it, he had his girl friend put it in her name. They questioned it and he said he was restricted due to a past domestic issue. Everyone knows this guy hunts, has a number of shotguns and rifles. I told the paperwork guys I would no...

Re: I'm discouraged...

You guys are going to make me watch the whole damn thing aren't you. It really is not worth it, but yea... sorry Watched it. Thoughts- CNN is in the money making business, tragedies sell a lot of eyeballs. That said I thought the moderator did a pretty fair job. The older Democrat acted like he was...

Re: "He Never Went In": Officer On Duty Filmed "Doing Nothing"

Let's see, cop has a pistol, kid has AR and other guns, cop is close to retiring, he is out gunned. What would you do? IMO, be would have been dead too. To hard to say though. Didn't have his training. Don't know if he ever fired his fun during his career. Me, I would have engaged. Also, saw a inte...

Re: I'm discouraged...

*****Please do not take the below thought as though I am suggesting conceding to an AR-15 ban, as I am not******* I was wondering this morning how many pro-control individuals would agree to a "weapon of war/ar-15 for civilians ban" that would sunset once the military moved to lasers and r...

Re: I'm discouraged...

I agree. But Trump disagrees with you. He thinks the age should be raised to 21. If they want to move it to 21, then move the voting age to 21, move the selective service registration age to 21, etc. If we're going to define people as children until that age, then be consistent. Exactly, so last ni...

Re: I'm discouraged...

Not following you. If the entire citizenry has the Right to Bear arms, the diversity currently represented in this country would have equal access to that Right. Now if someone passes a law that indicates only registered Republicans are allowed to own weapons, then I can see your point. Let's break...

Re: I'm discouraged...

As with the time period that the 2nd Amendment was written, the citizenry is the last line of defense against Governmental Tyranny. The Founding Fathers understood that and purposely wanted to ensure that the Citizenry would always have the opportunity to resist. The irony of #the resistance fighti...

Re: President Trump signs memo to take action on bump stocks

Oh well, I'm waiting until 3D-printing advances enough that they can make a serviceable receiver. Then you'll just need the fabber you bought at Menards, a hack to bypass the snitchware the government will doubtless mandate be installed in them, and gun blueprints off a dark web site. Then either t...

Re: Anatomy of a Biathlon Rifle

Cool video, there was another going around on Facebook and it had me looking up the prices of the actions before the video was over. I agree, that action was super cool and super fast. Why hasn't that been adapted to any other firearm? I'm sure someone more technically adept will have the answer. D...

Re: Anatomy of a Biathlon Rifle

http://www.startribune.com/st-paul-restricts-archery-to-classes-and-approved-ranges/290145291/ While Minneapolis doesn’t directly address the use of bows and arrows, the city’s definition of weapon might be construed to prohibit archery except when as part of an organized activity or at...

Re: Anatomy of a Biathlon Rifle

Actually I was watching the woman's biathlon and envisioning it as a good squirrel set up. I could glide silently through the forest on skis with the rifle in that harness and then when one sees the squirrel, pop, supper :D Minneapolis allows squirrel hunting in the park system right? Fun...
