Re: AAR: Sentinel Concepts Practical Urban Carbine

Urban carbine course shooting 200 and 300 yards. What is the practical application for this? I mean really you would have a heck of time saying it is self defense at those distances.

I'm convinced if you had a class on Zombie shooting under water people would sign up for it.

Re: Bullet size for reloading .38 Special / 357 Mag

The short answer is not really Issues: 1. the crimp die being able to put enough tension on the bullet to prevent setback 2. lack of a cannalure on the bullet to roll crimp them 3. the .001 of slop may cause accuracy issues 4. if the 9mm bullets have exposed lead bases be careful pushing them as ful...

Image Hosting

It appears Photobucket has stopped allowing linking from forums to images they host.

So what service are folks using to host pictures for this forum.

Re: IDPA SSP Rules Question

Under USPSA I would agree, you'd be fine. However IPDA can be much pickier, the major issue I foresee is the urban grey color is specific to the suppressor models and that may make it deemed a unique model, which would exclude a barrel length swap for SSP. I have a 75 SA, but wanted a stainless. So ...

Re: IDPA SSP Rules Question

The way I read the rule book, it would not be allowed in SSP. The book says same barrel must be the same caliber and configuration as factory original. The configuration part is what would burn you, a local match might let it pass given their inexperience with the models but at a sanctioned event I ...

Re: How many reloaders chronograph

I chrono within the lot of each item. If I use a different lot number of any component(powder, bullets, primer and headstamp) I chrono that batch and record the results. I track the lot number of each component, the chrono and accuracy results. I have the same chrono I've used for over a decade and ...

New Gander owner doesn't want my money!

Just another example of an egotistical CEO thinking that their personal politics have a place in business.

Had to say Goodbye to my bird dog

Just got back form the vet, my 16 year old Brittany had been battling a tumor a tonight she had a paralyzing stroke.

I kind of knew that last year was our last in the field but it still hurts to say goodbye to my hunting partner.

Re: P320

I'd also suggest if anyone has one it go back to Sig to get the fix. Just think if it gets dropped in instead of you shooting yourself you shot someone else. You liability is going to be off the scale - I can hear the layers now - "so you knew it was faulty and had an chance to get it fixed for...

Re: Game Fair?

All the big name collar companies shave a booth. Great place to see them all and talk to factory rep's about features. Prices might be a littel higher than on the net but they typically throw in some spiff like hat or shirt to give you a little something extra. Each brand has some unique features so...

Just picked up a new PPS M2, between the rebate program, Cabelas discount and loyalty bucks I've got $183 in real cash into it.

Re: Game Fair?

I've been going for over a decade and there is no official handicap parking because the event itself offs no parking. So parking is via home owners along the entrance road. If you get there about 30 minutes before the doors open you can get a pretty close spot form the home owner right before the en...
