Re: Brass vs Aluminium?

I used to shoot a lot of 9mm alum before I started reloading. Has never been a problem in any of my guns. Try some brass and see if that helps, if not than its the gun. If it runs then I would either stick to brass or find another brand of aluminum to try.

Re: Different perspective on training?

I would guess expense, lack of facilities and lack of interest are the biggest reason you won't see more regularly scheduled classes.

Competition is the best training I have found! Show up at a USPSA event pay your 10-15 bucks, grip and rip! Hope to see you at the range!

Re: Who else makes a "Magpul B.A.D."

I use the bad lever on my 3gun ARs. It's nice during unload and show clear and I don't have to break my grip to use it.

Re: .223 Ammunition for Target Shooting

I would look at BlackHills. Midway sells it as does Scheels. Otherwise I have heard good things about Freedom Munitions too.

Re: What makes a good AR?

Better barrels will give good accuracy, bolts will make it strike and eject as they should , good magazines and ammo are necessary.

Re: New toy

Did you tear down the BCG and inspect the firing pin channel? Perhaps there is too much lube or a bur in there that is holding up the pin from going forward, I would start with that before you take it back to the store. Nothing worse than a new gun that wont run! I was in that boat once and the reta...

Re: Need a smith for a lever gun

Any competent gunsmith should be able to take care of your. I would avoid the one at Joes Sporting Goods, other than that anyone in the metro should be able to handle it for you with ease.

Re: First outing with a shotgun

You should be just fine! Check out Metro or look at joining Oakdale. SSP is very over priced and they now require you to use there ammo. I quit going there for just this reason.

Re: Anyone know where to get AR10 Lower Locally?

Welcome to the forum! This is a such a stereotypical first post and considering the shortage of stuff right now I dont think your going to find much help. You would probably have better luck finding a complete rifle right now than finding a lower. Its not that we are not helpful its just that everyo...

Re: So I just got my TRP, what should I swap out?

What do u plan on using it for? I imaigine that somewhere, there's stuff that just NEEDS shootin'. The reason I ask is because if you were looking to compete in bullseye, vs USPSA, vs IDPA the rules can be different and you can be looking for improvements in different areas. If you want to mess wit...

Re: DPMS LR308 Oracle ??'S

A muzzle break is the first accessory I put on an AR. I like the Nordic Corvette Comp the most, it's loud but it makes the gun much faster to shoot as it controls muzzle rise very well.

Re: Best bang for the buck Red Dots?

What kind I competitions are you shooting? The problem with most dots is that the reticle is too large for longer range precision work. Look at the Leupold Prismatic it is far and away the #1 choice for dot shooters in the 3gun world. Most governing bodies allow dots in the iron sight division addin...

Re: Need license??

I am not current on the licensing laws in MN regarding Coyotes but I presume if you are hunting you will need to be of legal age and have a hunter safety certification (assuming you are not grand fathered in because of age).
