Re: Stamped vs. Milled AK Receiver

You called an AK a queen? Wouldn't it be more of a Safe Peasant, or more properly a Safe Comrade? ;)

Re: Looking for someone to fabricate an extended thumb safety

Does anyone know of anyone that could fabricate a functioning, good looking extended thumb safety for my CZ? Here's a thought. I was wondering about an ambi safety for my CZ-75, so I emailed CZ with the question. The answer I received directly from CZ-USA... The 75 will not accept the 85 safety. I ...

Re: World: Security Teaching Moment

Can you say 19,000 nukes in the US arsenal, and a few in Israels, will ensure the Saudis will play nice. The threat of just one, on Mecca or Medina would quieten most, if not all of Sandland. I would agree with that, if we make the assumption that they will behave in what we consider a rational man...

Re: Purdy (?) Glock

Collectors Firearms is located in Texas. I think they have far different demographics than we have here in MN. They have far more: • Oilmen • Cattlemen • Texans ;) Since I've manage to permanently traumatize Glock users, it seems only fair to scar some HK and Sig fans as well. http://www.col...

Re: Lost and Found: Brit's .38

Seriously, this is from Charter Arms at the SHOT Show. I thought this revolver had been reviewed already at Gunblast.com , but I was mistaken. The review was for it's "lefty" sister instead; the...ummm.... oh well... check it out yourself here (hint: 4th picture down). In this case I don'...

Purdy (?) Glock

For those of you who can't get past the fact that Glocks are plain, boring-looking blocks of plastic and metal, there are... well... alternatives... :D Link = Collector's Firearms http://www.collectorsfirearms.com/images/494e852999144cc8e5474521f8cd1a83.jpg If you look around the web...

Re: Long term storage

I once used a HEAVY coat of 30wt , non detergent motor oil on all the metal and bought a role of plastic tube, (IIRC I bought it from a Ski place that they used to put ski purchases in) and then bagged all the wood in another dry bag. My stuff kept for 18 mos with no damage in a damp basement. Hmm....
