For that matter, why does the background check even need to be firearm related? If a person has a valid Global Entry card, they’ve undergone a far more rigorous process than PTC or NICS.

I think that the typical revolver is actually more expensive to produce than most striker fired polymers. With R&D behind them, I'd think Glock can crank out a G19 for less than $100.

Dang! That would have me a little on edge to walk into a store and buy something "illegal" not knowing who is watching, recording, or waiting to arrest me.

I'm guessing that either through existing law or one that will be passed this session, they will be banned in MN by next summer. Whether "ban" means illegal to sell/purchase or illegal to possess depends on who is writing the bill.
