Re: AR issues

Would rarely lock back on an empty mag after firing one round, be it Gen 2 or 3. Sometimes would not feed from Gen 2 on bolt drop. All ejected fine, in the same general area about 4 o'clock at six feet or so. BCG and bolt looked ok. Would stand nose up on an extended bolt, so the gas rings are likel...

I will try to find some different or heavier stuff in the cache. Sometimes you've got what you've got, though...

Re: AR issues

I would lock it open, insert a mag, and load a round into the chamber that way. The used rounds all ejected about six feet away at 4 o'clock.

Did not try loading one round to see if it will lock open, will do so next trip, thanks.

AR issues

I am having AR issues. The rifle (carbine length) will not feed reliably. It does eject, but will not take a round off of the top of the magazine. A few tries already: I have a new KP15 polymer lower, which recommends Gen 3 AR mags or US GI. I tried brand new 30 and 20 rounders with new ammo. No luc...

Re: Training By Nationally Known Instructors In The Midwest

I put up a similar question a while ago, and got a few replies. Unfortunately, here in flyover land, we're still a bit out of the loop, it seems. There used to be a Farnham class in Monticello, and I took ECQC in Morristown, but I think it's hosting as much as teachers that keep us from getting nati...

Re: Romeo and juliet 3

I like my Romeo 5 as well. The instant on w movement feature to save battery is great. No troubles.

Re: Integrally suppressed....

Same as the Ruger Amphibian I've always wanted. Nearly the same price, too.

Re: Dry fire laser training systems

Pink Rhino (gah-the name) makes laser training cartridges in a variety of calibers. Steeltyme makes what has so far been a good target, useable at house distances and silence able (otherwise a metallic ding). The cartridge has a couple O rings to hold it in the chamber when you cycle the action (or ...

Re: April Bang Ping

Sorry I missed it, family ReU, the first in 18 months took precedence. Hope to make it soon.

From the results, looks like a big crowd for April, and it's not even raining sideways.

Re: Police involved shooting in Brooklyn Center

As many know, the sheriff is responsible for LE duties anywhere in the county that the city or municipality can't, or won't provide them. One of the issues with the BC mayor is that he got the council to pass a resolution for BCPD not to use gas or OC rounds, but he still asked the HCSO, secretly, t...

Re: Okay, someone please guide me through the SBR rules again...

Read on another forum that if the antis were smart, they would have an amnesty to either offer free SBR registration or $5 AOW registration for all of these not quite SBRs they seem to be concerned about. Sort of like the big amnesty prior to the GCA of 1968, where even stolen full autos could be re...
