Re: holster retention systems

If it's an IWB holster, I would suggest a friction fit retention. No need for anything else unless your daily job is either Cirque du Soleil, or some place that you're worried about someone grabbing your gun. I see no need for higher retention than that on a concealed carry gun. I like hybrid holste...

Re: What the F### can be done about gun massacres?

I think there are two main items that can help with the mass shootings. 1. Get more people to carry concealed in more places. Yes, the liberals will never carry themselves, but the more of us get out there carrying, it might help make up the difference. It may not "stop" the mass shootings...

Re: Shotgun best for home defense.

For home defense a shotgun is just fine. The handgun is easier to have available at all times, but less effective. The rifle gives you range at the expense of over penetration. For most all home defense situations, you don’t need more than 10 yards range... 30 feet. Few rooms are further than that ...

Re: Shotgun best for home defense.

According to our president, you are correct... Good topic, I'm torn between three choices, and none of them are the shotgun. I just can't get past the low capacity, high recoil, slow reloading thing. Choice A would be a 5.56 AR pistol with a 10.5" barrel. Choice B would be a 5.56 AR pistol with...

Re: Secured but quick access long gun storage

I was pretty much set to get one of those Arma15 locks, but I like being able to store it with a closed bolt and inserted mag so I like the Shotlock better. It looks like the Hornardy Rapid Safe AR Wall Lock is discontinued for some reason...

Re: SHTF Gun

Uffdaphil wrote:Great thinking Scratch! That second complete AR lower would take up a lot of ammo space.

One complete lower, 3 uppers, 3 mags, and a conversion BCG.

But yes, all that would take up precious ammo space. This choice might best be suited for the government saying you can only have one gun.

Re: SHTF Gun

Always an interesting subject, but it's really dependent on the situation... Did the government take everything but allow you one of your choice? Did you have to bug out and could only carry one due to space restraints? Zombie-poc? Chinese invasion? Survival in the woods? That being said, I'll offer...

Re: Matching set upper/lower/handguard links

Thanks, I'll pass it on to him but I think he wants some bright color like blue or red or something. Good to have these links all in one spot though,

Tumbling with no media?

I don't shoot in the winter. I don't do much of anything in the winter. I hate it. I hate the snow, I hate the cold, I hate the grey skies, I hate everything about it, and I stay inside as much as I can, and I certainly don't shoot. But... that makes it the perfect time to reload, so I save all my b...

Matching set upper/lower/handguard links

My brother wants to do more of a "special" build for his next AR15 and is looking for a matched Cerakote set of stripped upper, lower, and hand guard. Forged or billet considered. I'm looking for suggestions on where to find them. If you know of any, please post some links. Thanks.
